its been going on for about 6 weeks, we noticed she had fleas so we treated her with the liquid drop kind. She bites whatever she can and her legs go limp and she pees. Last night, she jumped on my lap and I rested my arm on her back and she immediately bit my arm and would not let go until my husband helped get her off me. She peed all over me and this is the 3rd time I have delt with this so I am looking for answers. She is otherwise a healthy cat although very large. Not fat but a big cat.

I have to go away for 2wks & there is no one else to look after my cat, who will be just over 1yr old. I am really worried about leaving him in a cattery, but seem to have no choice. What are peoples thoughts, any hints on what to look out for?

Does anyone know any good cattery's in the Midlands area ??

I am planning a Vacation and I would like to take my cat with me. It takes about 10 hours to get there, but he really doesn't like to ride in the car, he gets car sick. What can I do to make him get use to the car ride? He doesn't like to be home alone and I really want him to go with us.

She's odd in this. She isn't trying to tip over the bowl like as in the other question.
What she does, is goes to the drinking bowl, and sticks in her paw and slashes it out! One of our water bowls for the cats is quite large, and she makes a horrendous mess of it all over the floor. I tried filling it to the top (as it's about two inches deep), in case she didn't like the feeling of her whiskers brushing the side of the bowl. Apparently not the issue. She's still doing it.
The bowl upstairs is a tiny one about 1/2 an inch tall, and about three inches wide. And she does the exact same thing with this one.
Anyone have any ideas? I have two other cats, so need keep out the water.
Thanks ahead of time

I currently feed my 2 kittens on James Wellbeing dry food, and Nutro wet food.

They love the broth in the Nutro and lick that up like it's going out of fashion, but are very reluctant to eat the meat and tend to leave it till I have to chuck it away.
I want to feed them a good quality food (no cheap, nasty stuff for my babies) and also want to give them something they like as well. I can't really take the wet food away, as they love having the choice, and they prefer pouches to tins (because of the different texture I think).
What to people recommend?
Thanks

My cat is very hyperactive that he plays with everything he lays his hands (paws) on. I wonder if is it because of his food or is it because he's often alone at home everytime I go to work. Does he lack attention?

I am fostering two kittens for my local animal shelter. They were both strays and undernourished. They are app. 4 months old. One of them is doing great, gaining weight and playing a lot by himself and with my two adult neutered cats.

The other kitten is definitely the runt. He is about half the size of his brother, is desperatly stupid, will not play, can't even sit straight, meows loudly day and night. On top of this he is very ugly; tiny body, big head, tiny beady eyes (one smaller than the other). Only positive aspect is that he eats fine and is gaining weight steadily.

If I bring him back to the shelter they might put him down. I feel so guilty and torn about doing this although I know in nature a cat like this would never survive. I just feel I am wasting my energy saving this kitten while I could help out with others. This one will never make a good pet or would it? Can he change or is he really showing sings of being brain damaged? Cat lovers, I need your advice!

Hi, Chase's mom here - I am looking for some tips/stories/advice/articles, anything really. I brought home a 7-week old kitten last week and Chase is very angry and I understand that. They officially met face to face yesterday. It went well as far as there not being any sort of fight or real aggression, but chase is growling the entire time little Max is out. I understand the territory factor and he obviously has submission from the other two cats in the home - everyone agrees, he is Top Cat. The things that is probably bothering me most, is that he is mad at me. He doesn't want me to pet him and just looks away when I talk to him. I have been laying on lots of extra love on him and even singeling him out to get treats, etc... I'm worried that he is getting stressed and that he is unhappy and I really hope he adapts to his. Has anyone been through something similar. Have you had your cat turn from you and if so, did he change back to being lovable?

My kitten loves to run away anyone when they go near her. I got her sunday night. she lets us play with her but when she gets tired it is the only time she will let us pet her. yesterday i played with her with this fishing rod toy thing for like 2 hours then finally she let me pick her up and she slept on me for about an hour. Is this normal? also is it normal for them to chase their tails? and one last thing. How do i get her to stop climbing the couches. she wont climb the curtains, she stays off tables, she has never scrtched or bitten or clawed anyone. but she climbs the back of the couches. how can i make her stop? she is onlt 2 months old so she is to young to de-claw her and i really dont want to have to do that

like their not allowed to go outside? I tried to keep my 2 cats indoors but they just didnt want to stay indoors all the time, isnt an animal suppose to enjoy nature and not be on a leash esp a cat.. dogs sure... it made me feel as if I was doing something wrong...I know the dangers cats face outdoors but IF they sneak out when the door opens and dont want to stay inside... isnt it only right to make them enjoy the best of both worlds?

I've had one cat stop giving birth with the baby halfway out cause my 18 month old daughter started crying, and my cat wanted to make sure she was alright first before continuiing.
My weirdest spot for birthing was when my cat climbed under the blanket then up my shirt and gave birth right in the curve of my tummy and legs while I was asleep. I woke up after the second was born and put them all in the birthing box. But it did make me feel really speacial.
Does anyone else have any weird and wonderful stories about where your cat gave birth or cool cat labour stories ???

We are taking our cat to the vet to be spade and we have to leave her overnight for one night. I am very worried about leaving her because she sleeps with us every night. She will be locked up in a cage all by herself. Do you think she knows we will come back for her? She will wake up in her cage so confused and afraid and lonely? I know she is an animal and not a person, but I am still overly worried about her.
