Your local branch of Cats Protection League should be able to help you, although two points:
1) You probably won't get kittens till the spring now as cats don't breed in the winter.
2) If getting the cats from a local rescue centre such as this, you should probably give them some sort of donation to help fund the important work they do.

you could try your local cat and dog home. i think they charge for their pets, but think of the little orphan animal you'd be giving a loving home too.
