its been going on for about 6 weeks, we noticed she had fleas so we treated her with the liquid drop kind. She bites whatever she can and her legs go limp and she pees. Last night, she jumped on my lap and I rested my arm on her back and she immediately bit my arm and would not let go until my husband helped get her off me. She peed all over me and this is the 3rd time I have delt with this so I am looking for answers. She is otherwise a healthy cat although very large. Not fat but a big cat.

Your best option is going to the vet, she might have some sort of illness which you don't know about. Or she might of hurt her back in some way and it might hurt her when you touch her. Maybe the flea killer has irritated her skin, the only person who can tell you what's wrong with her is a vet.

I would take her to the vet she may have had a reaction of some sort to the flea drops as it does go thrrough the blood stream by way of the skin. Did you get the drops from the vet? Or did you buy them from a store? Dosage is very important when giving meds. to animals The vet always weigh them and gives the proper dosage by weight. But if she is biting you then defienitly go to the vet and find out why she is acting this way! Let us know please as never heard of cats suddenly becoming violent!

She might still have fleas... and could be responding to the irritation. I'd get her treated for it professionally (like a groomer). She might need to spayed as well is she keeps peeing on things. Also if you want to pet you cat... let her smell your fingers first that way she can put her scent on it, and usually that will allow her to get comfortable with u.

Sounds like an allergic reaction which has turned her skin extremely sensitive. Not unusual for those new drops. They're strong. BUT>>>>>>>>>>

Get her to a vet. Tell him/her what you've told us and let him/her take a looksee. It might not be connected at all, but instead be a serious problem with her spine or bladder.

Take your cat to the vet she could have something wrong with her or an infection....... If she is an old cat she may be sick and dying. Sorry to sound rude and blunt but been there done that...... The cat was sick old and had arthritis so peeing her hurt her. The peeing is either infection or old....

These are signs of an illness, go to the vet as soon as possible or your cat might loose the use of her legs or even die.
Go soon!
Good luck

if this was going on before the flea treatment, she might have a back injury, it is obviously very painful for you to touch her there, if she is going limp and loosing baldder control, it sounds very serious. get her to a vet asap! don't waste time on here.
