This cat was given to me by him as a b-day present several years ago. When we separated, he insisted on keeping this cat, and I got the other 2, which I dearly love. By the way, he left this cat to fend for himself during hurricane Katrina. Now he's making changes in his life and he doesn't have time for the cat. I have 3 of my own, plus an outside one that I have spayed. He said it would not be permanent but the cat is displaying aggressive behaviour because he is never around. What do you think?

My roomie's kitty is about 5 years old. She's a house cat, but occasionally goes out in the hallway of the condo building. Within the last month or so she has lost much of the fur on her legs. She doesn't seem sick, has a good appetite and has all her current shots. She had a different brand of kitty litter which we thought may have caused the problem. We've switched back to her old brand. Does anyone know what might be going on with her? Thanks in advance for your advice.

About a year ago, my girlfriend and children convinced me to take in a calico kitten out of a litter that was found in a dumpster. The cat took to everyone right away, but lately she hisses and swats at people when they visit, even at me when others are around. She tolerates the g/f and is very affectionate with me, but just doesn't seem to tolerate anyone else. She hasn't been spayed yet either. Thoughts?

My cat has been moving around her bowl and spilling the water all around her bowl. I found water like 5 inches away from the bowl. She moved her bowl about 8 inches away from the mat I have it on. Why does she do this? Is there something wrong?

My girlfriend brings her little cat over alot when she stays the night. My boa is almost 9 feet and he managed to push out the door of his cage overnight. She left it here when she went off to work in the morning and I slept in late. When i went looking for her cat I could not find it. But I did find the snake behind the couch. I fed him a rabbit a couple of days ago but I wouldn't put it past him to eat again. I know she is not going to believe he ran away but I have no idea how to tell her. Do you think it is possible he's in a closet sleeping? God dammit..She is going to be completely distraught because she loved that cat.

My female cat is on heat and i just simply cant get her fixed right now, which is really upsetting, but its just not possible at the time. I thought if she mated with my male cat it would help her, or keep her from crying & sounding so miserable all the time. But the male cat is fat, lazy, & frankly, he's not interested. What the heck do i do!!! Im annoyed with her crying, annoyed with myself bcuz i cant do anything about it right now, and annoyed with my fat cat bcuz he wont give it up already! Some help please

I have read about toxoplasmosis and how to stay away from the litter and etc...
I was just wondering does it hurt your chances of becoming pregnant and also what to do when you are pregnant besides stay away from the litter. My kitten is indoor all the time anyways...
Is it worth keeping your kitten while pregnant?
Also what do you do when the baby gets here besides keep the kitten away from "jumping in the crib" and other things my grandmothers warn me of.
Thanks much i know this sounds silly.
Just curious of how you all handled this....

The other cat has worms and are present around the tail. Is it safe to have them use the same litter box? Or am i risking contamination of my cat? Also, should i keep them separated?

One of my kittens absolutely loves all food. We don't feed him table scraps or anything, but he loves when he gets ahold of it on his own. I need to know what is the best way to keep him from getting into our food on the table when we happen to not be looking. I don't want to yell, and I know positive reinforcement sometimes works with dogs, but what about cats? Does the water bottle method work, or is that just cruel?

I would. But my cats love their Science Diet and turn their noses up at canned food.

Right now, mt kitten, Alto, is attacking my foot. Whenever I'm on the computer he does this. Then, he climbs onto my lap, onto the desk, jumps off, and walks across the scanner (which hits the buttons).

Alto jumps on the bed, and attacks my feet whenever I try to go to sleep. I can't really do anything about it because I'm so tired.

(Note: Scolding doesn't work, and I don't want to to hurt him, or get him declawed)

Other than the obvious which is getting her fixed, is there anything at all u can do 2make them feel better? Im wondering if they're upset at all, as far as feeling bad maybe, & is there anything i can do 4her? I have a male cat but he's fat n lazy n wont be bothered with her. I just wish i could comfort her somehow, hate hearing her cry all the time. Any advice is great! Thanks in advance ;)

I brought him to the vet after noticing the sneezing and his scratching of one ear like there was somehting in it. The vet put ear drops in and said to allow some humididty in the house. He is 13 weeks....any body have any suggestions ? Im worried.

Many times there are real reasons that a cat might have to be declawed.
Let us say that people lost their house and could only find a place that took declawed cats. It is better that they declaw, or dump the cat at a shelter??????????
