My cat has been a frontline customer for a year now, we apply the frontline every 6 weeks as prescribed by our vet. My cat is indoor/outdoor cat and I know she might be getting fleas from the outside and carrying them inside which is why we are religious about applying the medicine on time, cleaning every day and washing all the clothing every week. The frontline product has been working perfectly on her except for the last application (2 weeks ago), all of a sudden she has fleas and I see them walking on her. I want to clarify this particular application was in my car for a couple of weeks during summer which means it got really hot. I would like to know if there is a chance fleas are just getting resistant to the product or the heat somehow ruined it and that's why it isn't working, etc. Thanks

I have two indoor cats, and although they seem perfectly happy in my three-bedroom house, I was wondering about how it compares to the space they'd have to roam in if they were allowed outside and whether they'd be significantly more active there than inside.

Does anyone have any idea how large the roaming territory of domesticated cats is, or how much they actually do roam? Does it depend on the territories of other neighborhood cats, geographical markers such as roads and creeks, the gender of the cat, or the cat's personality? And what do cats do when they're wandering around the neighborhood?

Her lower half is nearly bare because she constantly licks herself. We put flea stuff on her but it had no effect...What could be the cause of fur loss, or compulsive licking and what can I do to help it?

I treated my cat with Frontline about 3 weeks ago, in the last 24 hrs I have been bitten twice. (I kept getting bitten when he had fleas before) I used the flea comb on him but only got a bit of white dandruff like stuff from his back. Could he still catch fleas if he's been treated?

My cat, between 6 and 7 months old, doesn't seem phased by catnip at all. Does anyone else have a cat that doesn't react to catnip? I bought it hoping that after I put it on her scratching post that she'd start scratching it instead of my sofa...but nope...sofa still gets all the attention.

We let him outside, but he just walks around meowing loudly. My mom says he has been "spraying" places in the house also. What exactly is "spraying"? And What is my cat trying to tell me. ing people over? I find that I'm somewhat self-conscious about having that many pets. We have 2 cats, 2 dogs, 2 parrots, lovebirds and a gecko. Somewhere along the way I felt shame about it because most of my family and friends shudder at the thought of animals in the house at all. I clean up after them and although not perfectly, I try to keep the mess to the minimum.

After my cats eat their wet food, they scratch the floor around the dishes. Almost like they think they are digging a hole to hide it. It's very funny. Just wondering if there's any explanation to that.

I just had my cat declawed and spayed yesterday and she returned home today. I didn't want to have her declawed, but her scratching was out of control. She is still groggy from the drugs and I want to make her as comfortable as possible. Is there any way to help her heal faster with the least amount of pain possible?
Also, will she harbor feelings of untrust towards me for taking her?

I have two cats - Turkish (male) and Bailey (female) they are 1year and 4 months old and brother and sister. I have had them since they were 7 weeks old. I could not wish for two sweeter cats, they are great. They both play together and with myself with no violence or thretening behaviour at all, they give me so much affection. But i have one problem which is really strarting to wind me up - Bailey wakes me up every morning, she jumps on the bed, without fail at 6am, purring her little head off and percistantly rubbing her face against me and at the same time she bites my fingers, its not a vicious bite, but its bad enough. I just dont understand it as she never does anything like this any other time, i guess you could say she just wants me to hurry up and get out of bed and feed her BUT why does she have to bite me? arrrrrrrrrrhhh

My cat has a wound since summer. Last week I noticed that there is a lump there, but no infection. There is a little bit of dried blood on her head, small cut. Would anybody have an idea what it could be? I brought her to the vet, but he is not sure what she has and told me to come back in 2 months if she doesn't get better.

My cat came home with a cone on his head yesterday. He has stitches near his ear. He will definitely scratch it if I take the cone off. I've been feeding him by hand. I've tried to give him water by spoon, small cup, and by hand. I don't know if he's not thirsty or frustrated. Do you have any suggestions about giving him water?

I have a 7 year old and 1 year old fixed male cats, who are best buddies. I want to get another one, but I'm not sure if I should get another male or a female. I know they'll accept whoever I bring home, but was just wondering if the sex made a difference.
