i heard they're not good for cats but how? my dorky kitten is always attacking our funyon chips. I'm scared that i might harm her now that i heard that so can anyone help me out and let me know whats up?

It can cause anemia in cats, their bodies are not as good at metabolizing this food as we are. As for the person above said you should feed your cat garlic, the same thing happens to cats who ingest garlic as onions. It is just less potent in garlic, still bad for kitty.

She's more interested in the garlic that is on the funyuns than she is the actual onion flavor.

Onions can be toxic, so keep her away from the onions (funyuns). Try sprinkling a touch of garlic powder on her food. It's also a nice flea preventative.

garlic is okay to give your cat, the onions, not so good. But as with all human food, moderation is the key.

If you do sprinkle a bit of garlic on her food, be sure you dont do it every single day. Its best as a treat, like canned food.
