I have tried the RSPCA and they havent many cats or kittens in as a lot are reserved. I was in there yesterday and I have contacted the cats protection league and they are too far away. There is no other way of getting there except by car. I have looked in all the papers and all I can see is people getting rid of dogs, which my son is petrifid of. I have a yr old female cat who I got 3 wks ago at the RSPCA and she gives so much love. My children would love another cat/s or kitten/s

Though there are many people with kittens and young cats who would love to sell them to you, the best place to find one would be at the Humane Society, SPCA or animal shelter.
The reasons for choosing a pet from there are many.
The animals you would "adopt" would have been given a physical exam, received their shots, have been dewormed and, most importantly, been spayed or neutered.
Most likely any kitten you buy from someone would not have had any of these things done.
It's possible that a young cat from a private home would have had one or more of these necessary things done, but you can't be absolutely sure without positive proof. Therefore, ask the person you are buying the cat from for the name and phone number of the animal clinic where the cat was treated. Then you can contact the clinic yourself to get any information that you need.

There are far too many sheltered animals needing homes. Please give them a good home and all the love they deserve.

Hi there,

Try the derby evening telegraph. I look at the classifieds almost every day and there are always litters in there. It went a bit quiet over christmas, but I would have thought there'd be more and more as christmas becomes a distant memory. You could try the website as well...

Please go to animal shelter or local RSPCA because they have so many cats because people keep letting their cats have kittens and people are not rescuing them and they end up having to put them to sleep.

you should adopt a kitten from your local animal shelter, save the life of a cat before it goes under the needle.

You've already got one from the RSPCA, so you know how wonderful they are. Please, please go back there and give another little one a chance of a good home. There are so many unwanted cats and kittens, in the RSPCA, Battersea and Cats Protection League.
