Hi Ray...cats borns with a cleft palate even after having corrective surgery will exhibit life-long residual effects from the this birth defect. The nose excrement may be an end result. As long as it doesn't interfere with her breathing abilities she should be perfectly fine. If there's any further concerns ringing a veterinarian may help put your mind at ease as well.

When one of my kitties, Oliver, was a baby, he had the same problem...his nose is a little mishapen and helped add to the problem (he looks like a boxing champ in profile!), and we cleaned his nose with damp Q-tips several times a day. Oliver now also has a brother, Winston (in addition to sister Alfie)...all three are rescue kitties...Winston has allergies and litterally blows mucus from his nose when they are acting up..we have had him checked by the Vet, and although not sure what has caused these allergies..he's fine otherwise...cats, especially older cats, can develop allergies at any time...just like humans...I would take her to the Vet just to be on the safe side...if there is no infection, you have nothing to worry about...

I want you to be careful!
Is your cat weezing or not breathing regularly?

I found out that my cat has an upper resperatory infection.
And it's normal for cats to sneeze after they eat.

What was the surgery for? Something to do with this?
Well it wouldn't affect your problem so far- because that was when she was a kitty- side affects do not occur several years later.

'hope I helped!,

I've seen cats sneeze before. I don't know if my cat had a cold or allergies, but I would take her to a vetrinary clinic to be checked out.

Yes they can! Cats can develop allergies to common pollens and mold. I wouldn't worry about it unless it becomes serious, in which case you should see your vet.
