My 4 month old kitten likes to cuddle with us at night, but at around 4 or so she starts sucking on my husband's ear. She will suck on my finger, but she sucks the heck out of his ear. We think she may be teething. Any ideas?

my cat is a night owl. she sleeps all day long and comes out around 8 o'clock every night and disappears around 7 o'clock in the morning. i am 33 weeks pregnant and just set up a play yard in the living room. i put a cover over it hoping that my cat wouldn't climb in there to take her cat naps in it. well i keep on finding her there. i spray her with a water bottle and tell her no but she keeps on getting in it. i am scared to death that once the baby comes that she will work her way into the baby's bed and end up laying on him. is there anyway i can get her to become a "day" cat? or do you have any suggestions on what i should do?

My wife and I were wondering why he's barely eating his food, yet is taking massive, uh, "poops". Then this morning we noticed that we're re-filling the cat food bowl MUCH more frequently than usual. My wife suggested just feeding him cat food, but it seems that dog food is formulated specifically for dogs, and vise-versa.

Serious answers only, please. Answers such as "tape his snout shut", "a .30-06 from about 20 feet", or "fill his mouth with expanding foam insulation" won't help us much. Thanks.

I have two cats and recently one of them has started to pee on the floor...good thing they aren't allowed in the carpeted section of my house. I cannot figure out which one it is, and now it is worse. There is blood in the urine. What could this be caused by? They are both outdoor cats and also have a litter box inside. They are both about 13 years old and males. I have never had this problem before, so why would he start peeing on the floor now. Oh yes, and this morning, I found it on my kitchen table as well. This is a major problem and I dont know what to do. Should I just take them both to the vet?

We have recently planted about 300 Tulip bulbs . Our neighbour have a cat and it is digging out my bulbs, they are all planted the right depth and it is driving me crazy. We get on well with our neighbours and i do not want to cause trouble. How can i stop the cat from doing its business in my garden. I know our ground is nice and soft enough for the cat to do its business but not in my yard. Please let me know if anyone out there has got the same problem or if you have found the solution let me know please. Thank you.:)

I'm in the US and planning to move to Asia in a few months with my kitty. Now I heard that animal cargo is without air conditioning so it's very cold. True? It will take probably more than 15 hrs to travel, that will kill my cat! Can I buy a seat for the cat to stay in the pax cabin?

What's the regulation to take the animal abroad, do I have get him quarrantined first? Who should I contact prior moving regarding the cat? The mover company? Do you know company specialized moving pets abroad?

Are there Vet at the airport to sedate cargo animals?

It's been a little over a week, since one or both cats are awake at night, between 3 A.M. and 7 A.M., when they've been banging on the door. Last night and this morning it has gotten worse and nonstop. I can't sleep. I had two nights of deep sleep, due to fatigue and a little sip of wine cooler. Other than that, I still hear them. Since I'm a light sleeper, nothing seemed to work. I've tried to annoy them, use my "white noise" CDs, anything to block them and tune them out. Tuesday night they had hours of restlessness; but it was minutes of restlessness. I've ever banged on the door a couple of times to get them to stop. Is there anyway to soundproof the room, or get them to stop and sleep for a couple of hours, until they get along with my cat? So far, even when I let them out of the room or through the gate, they're scared and hide from her. By the way, the banging is louder. Please help me and my sleep deprivation. Any ideas from past experience or websites?

I caught a stray kitten back in october, and took it in for the winter, but I cannot afford to take her to the vet for any medical attention. She looks healthy on the outside, but as a stray, she may have worms and whatnot. I put up an ad for a free kitten and indicated that she was a stray. I haven't gotten any replies. She eats like a pig, and we have two other cats to feed. I tried taking her to the animal hospital but they don't take strays. I called the local spca and they didn't have room for any animals. The police dept. won't take her either. We had no choice but to let her back outside. But I woke up to the sound of her mother beating the crap out of her on the front porch. She apparently no longer recognized the scent of her kitten. I took the kitten back inside.
What should I do? I don't have the conscience to euthenize her myself.

i came back from work today and my maid told me my cat had been sleeping the whole day. anyway, i was rubbing him and then noticed that he looked different from usual. his nose was flat and there was some substance in his eyes.

my cat is a very lazy one who doesn't really enjoy playing at all but loves to be cuddled. today however, he ran away whenever we approached him.

he has been losing a lot of fur the last couple of months. we brought him to the vet who gave us many pills which cost $200 altogether yet his fur didn't stop falling off. he also happens to be 12kg.

is this just a symptom of old age? my cat is only 7 years old.

I have a house with 2 cats. Cali is 7 and JD is 3. When I brought JD home, we kept them separated from minute one! They sniff each other, and Cali would always hiss at him, and has swatted at him.
Now, JD is 16 lbs. compared to Cali's 6 lbs.! I bring them to the same room, usually a bedroom where she's sleeping, and he'll sit next to her, with me watching and guarding. She'll growl a bit, but if she's happy enough, she'll purr. He'll sniff her butt.
We are moving to a new house, and I'm tired of having them apart. How do I integrate these 2 wild beasts, who still have all of their claws mind you, into a happy household?

He will urinate in the tray but will not defecate in it ..... I recently moved house & now he has to use a litter tray during the night as there is no cat flap.. the house isn't designed as such. He is approx 11 years old & the smell of his unburied faeces next to the tray when I get up or come home is driving me mad .... I don't shout at him when he does this - but I do ignore him for a while..... I feel like kicking him out overnight although he's never been out overnight before - what can I do to cure this problem?... any advice?....

- Lately one of my cats has always been very inactive and not as cheerful as she used to be.

- I did a research and found out that there are bullies in the neighborhood that has been beating her and humiliating her infront of her friends.

- I felt sorry for my cat who are weak and defenseless against this bullies. So i decided to teach my cat some aggresiveness so that she can used this to defense herself.

Now in order to do that i had to get into a fight with her. So is there something wrong with that? I believed not but i am also willing to listen to others opinions on how to deal with this dilemma.

**Please provide sensible answers only and no jokes please.
**My cat is badly injured and i'm not in a mood for a gag.

Thank you and God bless you.

I'm in the National Guard and currently deployed overseas. I have a year and 8 month old cat who I love like a child since I have no children of my own. I have owned her since she was about 10 weeks old and had her right up till she was a year old before I had to part with her. When I get home, it will have been about a year and a half that we have been apart. I am concerned that she may not remember me. As I stated I have no children yet so her and I were very close like family. How much do cats truly remember about their owners from the past? I'm pretty sure she doesn't think about me right now as she is in a very good home, but once her and I reunite, will she actually remember me as the "daddy" that raised her?

i have a 6 year old cat. i love her so much! but she's drinking from the vase my mother has in the living room! i dont mind i justi dont know if its healthy for her. the vase has stones at the bottom and bamboo plants growing, no dirt. i dont know how long she's been doing it. when she runs out of water in her bowl she'll go drink from the toilet or sink or vase (cats are so smart!) she hasnt been acting sick. and sometimes she does it when she has plenty of water in her bowl. i just need to know if its okay for her to drink from that kind of water
