They should be able to share. I have two kitties as well, they're sister kitties and I was amazed at how well they did when encouraged to only scratch on their kitty condo rather than the furniture.

If they do stretch and start scratching at the furniture, we only have to tell them, politely yet firmly to stop and they do! Thank heavens!

Good luck....its great you have two....that way they're never lonely :)

I would just get one and see how they adapt to it. You can buy a two tier one in some stores. I find that some cats will still use the carpet/ sofa etc and not use the scratch pole anyway. It does depend on their character. I found the best scratch pole was a bit of log in the garden - my cats love that!

depends on the cats, some are quite territorial. Some cats will even go as far as having their own litter box, and if another cat uses it, the one cat will never use it again. Some really don't care however, like I said, it depends on the cat.

Hi there
I have 2 cats and 4 kittens and they have 4 different types of scratching posts but they all use any of them, they aren't picky in which one to use. I love to spoil my cats.
So your answer is I think they would be quite happy sharing.
Good luck one cat lover to another.

My cat's just use eachother as scratch posts. Neither one seems to mind, because they lick eachother's battlescars the next day :)

Mine share fine, I guess it may depend on the cats though.
