My 4 month old kitten likes to cuddle with us at night, but at around 4 or so she starts sucking on my husband's ear. She will suck on my finger, but she sucks the heck out of his ear. We think she may be teething. Any ideas?

Most likely she was taken from her mother too soon. She's trying to nurse. I had a cat with a similar habit, only he prefered to suck on the corners of blankets. In most cases - this is a habit they will continue into adulthood.

Like has been said, kittens that suck on things is normally a sign of being taken from its mother too early. My mom had a cat once that would need on our shirts and suck on them at the same time, and she did that into adulthood.

I had a kitten once that sucked on the throw rugs in the house. She did it even after she was an adult cat. My neighbor told me it was a sign that perhaps the kitten had been weaned to early from it's mother

Taken away from it's mother too early and wasn't properly weaned. This trait will remain for life. I had a siamese that was this way. My kids even started wearing ear muffs to bed.

She was taken away from her mother too soon. I had one that used to suck my chenile bedspread. Yuck
