I'm in the US and planning to move to Asia in a few months with my kitty. Now I heard that animal cargo is without air conditioning so it's very cold. True? It will take probably more than 15 hrs to travel, that will kill my cat! Can I buy a seat for the cat to stay in the pax cabin?

What's the regulation to take the animal abroad, do I have get him quarrantined first? Who should I contact prior moving regarding the cat? The mover company? Do you know company specialized moving pets abroad?

Are there Vet at the airport to sedate cargo animals?

I do not know any specific answers for you, but if you are that concerned (I would be too) but perhaps you should call the airline you plan to use, and ask them. I also found some websites I linked below, which sounded interesting, specific to the types of questions you are asking.

Good luck, I hope you and your kitty have a safe journey!
