Where did you get him? How long have you had him? What is his previous history, before you got him? All are important to know for a good answer.

It could be two different things. The ears could be mites or otitis externa. Either is easily treated.

The sneezing is another story. How much is he sneezing? How often? Is his nose runny or snotty? Are his eyes watering?

The answers to all the questions are necessary to determine if we think it is URI, upper resperatory infection. This is a very serious condition in cats, it is common, but not normal. It can prove fatal.

I have seen vets that really don't seem to know enough about it and are not as sucessful at treating them as they should be. Same for FUS, feline urinary syndrome. Lot of different ideas about how to treat and lot of different sucess rates.

How much do you trust your vet with cats? Some are much better than others, you need to know how good yours is.

Did you get him from a shelter? My cat did the same thing after we first brought him home. He sneezed like crazy and slept for about 2 days straight. The vet said it was a viral infection he could have picked up at the shelter and that it was going to get better by itself, which it did. But if it got worse (like if the stuff coming from his nose and eyes wasn't clear colour) I was to take him back immediately. I'd at least call the vet for some advice.

If you brought him to the vet and they examined him, then you shouldn't be worried. If it was anything to worry about, I'm sure the vet would have told you. I suggest getting a humidifier for your kitten.

Kitties get colds...as well as a build up of ear wax..the vet should know best but what I did for my cats when they were babies, (and I know this sounds wierd) I took a baby aspirin, a baby vitamin or even a prenatal..I ground them up (very small amount of both) and mixed it with milk. they were very healthy and yes, it even gets rid of that kitty gas.

Dont listen to the *** who replied first. your kitten is not going to die:)

sounds like the begining of an URI.
Keep watching of the kitten.....look out for ''snot rockets''......if they get green or abit yellow go to the vet.
The vet will give you a good anitbiotique..like clavamox or Zithromax. If you can take its temperature.....if its over 101 F..consult.
NEVER..NEVER give aspirin to cats.....this could kill them.
