Whenever I sneeze my cat will meow- even if she's sleeping. I just sneezed a second ago and my cat (who is sleeping next to me on my desk) meowed without even opening her eyes. She does this everytime I sneeze. Does your cat do this? Why?
Do you think she saying "Bless You" or "Shut up! You just woke me!"???

By the way- my cat will only meow at me if it's a real sneeze. If I fake sneeze she won't meow. ..she knows the difference

Is she Siamese? They have very sensitive ears and certain pitches can affect their hearing. If she does this she may be saying "shut it mom, that hurts", it may hurt her ears. We had a Siamese you couldn't sneeze around, break taco shells around, or even crack eggs because he would attack cause it hurt his ears. Just a thought.

Hi there...this is so cute. I've seen a few videos of cats who meow when people sneeze. Perhaps the frequency a sneeze produces can be bothersome to their ears and why they may respond with the meow...or simply they are saying "bless you" too. ;-)

My cat does exactly what the cat does in the first video. If I sneeze, she will give me that squeeky little meow. At least I know, my cat is not nuts LOL.

I have 3 cats and none of them have ever meowed when anybody in my house has sneeze......that's pretty cute though!!!!

My cat is very vocal, and meows at just about anything. I think the cutest is that when I yawn, she yawns back.

awww thats cute. i always wanted a cat or dog. idk if all cats meow at most times like that but ya know i think it's like people.different and unique from others.Everyone's a sheep(follower) or original so i think your cat just does that. aww i really wanna cat now! lol

My cats do no such thing, but I think it is darling.
I think she's saying "Thank you, I love you" or something similar. Very cute.
