My cat was the same way. Very possessive of me. We got other cats, but they always ran away because she always made it clear that they were NOT wanted. If I had one on my lap when she would walk into the room they would immediately start trembling and want to get down. Eventually they wouldn't even want to get on my lap because they were afraid she would catch them. We got a labrador retriever when she was about 10 and she wasted no time in letting him know that she was the boss of the place. I remember one day when he was fully grown he was lying on the floor sleeping and she walked into the room. She started to walk past him, but then stopped and looked at him and then walked over and just went to town on his poor nose. He hadn't done a thing! He jumped up and started backing away and she just kept after him until he was cornered and then she just turned around and walked away as if nothing ever happened. Sort of like she was saying, "I'm the boss and DON'T forget it!

I surely have a 70 pound dogs and a 7 pound cat. they actually like one yet another. The cat "face-marks" the dogs each and all the time. They play plenty, and look to communicate on some point. Alpha male dogs have some dominance themes, so in the event that they do no longer look to be getting alongside, it is ultimate to maintain them aside as much as obtainable.

my cat does this too...he has his bluff in on both of my dogs who outweigh him by at least 80 pounds..i think it's because she wants all of your attention...however she has to get it.
