Siamese are not big shedders. All animals with fur or hair will shed some, but what you are describing is a lot.
Some of the factors include time of year. They shed more in Spring and Fall to get their new coats for the new season. Another is stress. Many animals will spontaneously loose hair when stressed. I have seen some loose a lot of it.
Food is an issue. No offense to anyone, but I recommend a premium quality food. Few foods carried in the grocery store are premium quality. Personally, I use Science Diet. Not everyone thinks it is the best quality, but I have been very happy with it.
Has she always done this or is it brand new? If brand new, there are some medical conditions that can cause this. Sorry to say, but ringworm is one and it is very bad news. Might want to see your vet, just to be sure it isn't anything medical.
Brushing her or other grooming will cut down on leaving hair all around. It never hurts and you will both probably enjoy it.

Cat's SHED! We did some research and found out that the diet has a huge impact on the shedding. We recently switched the brand of food and hope to see results soon. Part of the reason your cat might be shedding so much is she might be getting too much protien in her diet. (I know, damned if you do, damned if you don't). More than likely you might have to either cut back the portions you are feeding your cat or switch brands. I wish you luck!

Does she have a very furry coat? If she does, then she will always shed. Certain times of year they shed so that they can be comfy. Kinda like someone with long hair chops it off for the summer.

My cat sheds a lot as well. The only thing that I find helps is brushing him often.

it could be the cat food. maybe she needs to be brushed. all the loose hairs are brushed away and not end up on your furniture.
