I need some help or advice. Im at my wits end with my kitten. She is 8 months old now. I have two other cats; one is 6 years old and the other one is almost two years old. The two year old was in heat a few weeks ago but now she is fine. then the kitten decided it was her turn to go in heat or at least I think she was in heat because of her moaning and carrying on. well she is okay now except that now she likes to pee on my bed and my sofa and I dont know why or how to stop this. I dont know if it is her way of showing the other two that I am her territory or what is wrong. I love her so much but this has to stop. Help please.

get all of your cats spayed. they will continue to do this until you spay them. do it soon before it becomes a learned behavior. the kitten did not decide to go into heat, you decided to let her go into heat. stop getting more kittens if you cannot afford to spay the other cats your have. be responsible. just think of them being in heat and peeing on things as your hourly reminder that you need to be more responsible and have them spayed.

when cats going into heat they spray urine to mark their territory. The only way to stop the spraying is to have them spayed. Almost all animal shelters do spays really cheap and some even for free. Call your local shelter soon to make an appointment to set up the spays.

Good luck!

I had a cat for type of four years once I then have been given a a million year previous from a chum of mine. I had a similar concern. First attempt 2 bins rather of one. Being a stray she is going to be very Territorial from being outdoors. regrettably, I dont think of she is going to cease as long because it is not purely her. There are strays you ought to purchase on the puppy shops which you spray in areas of venture that they are think to hate. i attempted each and every thing and my pals mom ended up taking it and the peeing stopped(my chum had no concern the two). the only factor i will inform you is to concentrate the laundry basket!

rule no. 1 of cats: GET THEM FIXED.

this solves issues like this, issues of territory markings, problems with other or stray cats, calms their temperment, protects them against many cancers and illnesses.

Its best to get them fixed when young....talk to your vet about all 3 of them. To not have a cat fixed with normally shorten its life by at least 5 years.

I didn't fixed my first few and I learned this lesson the hard way and from many vets.

I do not know, I thought only male cats sprayed urine to mark their territory. Are you sure you have a female cat?. Female cats usually rub their face with things so that they leave their smell and Mark their territory.

it is b/c the kitten isnt quite used 2 every thing yet! and i think that the other cats r "bullying" it around so it is trying 2 show them that he/she is just as much at home there as they r!

why don't you get them spayed first of all and make her spend some time in a room alone with the litter box and some food to help her figure it out.

you can scold your kitten every thime they pee in your bed/ do something wrong and when they actually go in the litter box/do something correctly, you could give them a treat.

Please spay them. There are sooo many health benefits that come from spaying that it doesn't make sense not to do it especially if you love them. It you help solve you issue too.
