And does bird semen spill when they mate? I always hold my female budgie, but I don't want to touch semen or any other fluid.

i have a male and female and they get along great. I think the male will feed the female but i dont have a nesting box. Will they still mate if they dont have a nesting box?

Other than keeping the chicken in the house all the time, she is somewhat of a pet, how can I stop this bird of prey from attacking again? I think it's a hawk, but I'm not sure. My other chickens just run and hide under something.

PS my dog did nothing to stop the attack.

Hi I have a pet Cockatiel that I’ve had for 12 years. I’m pretty sure there lifespan is 20-25 so I’m expecting to have him for quite a while. My problem is that I want to move in with my boyfriend, but he has allergies. Cats seem to be the worst, but pollin doesn’t bother him TOO much. He used to live with a short hair dog, and it never bothered him. If I keep the cage somewhere that’s not in the bedroom, and keep it really clean, do you think it will still bother him?

We recently bought 2 cockatiels and have all the necessary things for the cage but can anyone give me what they believe is the best book available to buy for training a cockatiel? The basics, getting them to step up etc.
Thanks

My 8 year old son has asked for a special Christmas gift this year while sitting on Santa's lap. I heard him whisper in his ear he would like a blue jay tail feather. Wow, I said. Where would I find one of those, as we do not live in an area where blue jays frequent. I would be grateful for any information I could get. Thank you

I am not sure if I should get one. I need to know the uglies about these birds. I know the good stuff.

I can tell you honestly I am not a good 'too owner. They're too much into everything. I don't want a parrot I have to chase around to see what trouble s/he is getting into. I don't mind some activity but 'toos just have waaay too much energy. I had a goffin's, that's how I know. I also had a grey and she suited me fine. I didn't have to worry too much with her as she preferred to just sit and watch me or talk. She was animated, don't get me wrong, she wasn't a stick parrot and she liked to play but not at all like the goffin's who was like a toddler on harley wheels...

I now own a MRH amazon (aka green cheek amazon) and he's somewhere in between the two. But he's 20 years old now...and I can't imagine all amazons are like him. Although I admit, he CAN be loud, that I expect from all parrots. Anyway, please give me the uglies of DYH's so I can see what I am getting into.
