thankyou spaceman.i know silkies are bantams but the females are hens and males are cocks.and as for where i live that doesent really matter.last time i checked you can get stuff deliverd to anywhere in the uk.but if it helps im in dartford kent.

buy a copy of 'practical poultry' magazine. It has a list of breeders in the back covering all areas of the counrty county by county. I'm listed but I'm not in Kent and I don't breed silkies. They come in bantam size or large fowl.

Farmergirl, the hatcheries you mentioned are not in England but America. If you don't understand the questions on yahoo UK & Ireland, please don't answer them as your answer was completely irrelevant to what was asked.

Silkies are actually Bantams, but as to where you can buy them well that depends where you live, and as we don't know, we cannot help

You can try Cackle Hatchery; McMurray Hatchery ; Ideal Poultry. I have ordered chickens and turkeys from all of these places and I've not had any trouble.
