The work environment would be relaxed, comfortable and pressure free. You'd have ideal hours, weekends off, paid vacation time, VIP benifits, karaoke, etc. The PR department would represent you as a highly respected and influential member of your community. It would be like a "dream job" in all but one respect. All that would be required of you would be to conduct an occasional "stress test" on a cockatiel. Come on, be honest .... would you do it?

I have 1 male and 2 females (unrelated) in the same cage. They all get along wonderfully and he mates with both females. If I put a nestbox in the cage (which is huge and plenty big), will he probably pick one of the females to pair off with and breed? If I don't get any babies, I'd like to get another bird. Could I add a parakeet? If I add another male Cockatiel, could this cause problems? I was hoping to have 2 pairs of Cockatiels. Also, the male is whitefaced cinnamon. If he breeds with the Lutino female, what colors could the babies be and if he breeds withe the whitefaced pied (almost totally white), what colors could the babies be? Is it possible that he could get them both pregnant and they could both hatch eggs (the nestbox is large)? And he does help take care of the eggs, right? Sorry about all the questions. Any info. on any of my questions is appreciated. I have done tons of research but still have many questions. THANKS.

I've just been calling them Birdie and they need some real names but I couldn't think of anything. There is a very bold whiteface cinnamon male. He talks and whistles and also makes tons of noise (anyone that says that Cockatiels aren't noisy, hasn't heard this one). There is a beautiful lutino (yellow) female that is probably my favorite. And last but not least, there is a whiteface pied female that is almost all white with a tad of grey on one side. So, I need 3 names (2 female and 1 male). Any ideas?

I would like to get a bird, but we have four - no, five - cats. Each of my sibblings (plus my mother) have a pet, and my dad is finally thinking of letting me get a bird.

We'd keep him in my room, of course, and not allow any of the cats to go in there. Any other suggestions?

I would really like to purchase a parakeet, I have had one before and absolutely adored it. I was wondering whether it would be alright to just go ahead and purchase one from a store like Petco or something because I just cannot find a breeder in Northern Virginia!

Is it normal for cocaktiel to move back and forth before laying an egg? MY bird has laid eggs before in fact she has three right now. SHe was kind of fluffed up when i saw her in the morning. SO i kept her in a warm place. After a few hours, she was not fluffed as much as she was in the morning. She started moving back and forth for some reason . SHe did this right after she got better from the fluffiness. Now she looks ok but her wings are low. Is she going to lay another egg by tomorow? I dont check on eggs often so i dont know when she laid the 3rd egg. It could be today, yesterday or the day before. I also heard its a sympton of egg binding. I cant get to a vet. Is tehre any way i can help her? some person told me to put oil in her vent area. Is that ok to do?

Have you ever had your bird do this before laying an egg? If u did when did she lay the egg?
Plz reply ASAP!
thnx

Well, my two parakeets died from age at about a difference of 2 months apart from eachother, and they were my first birds, so i didn't know how to train them. Its been a long time and now I think I should get new birds, but my mom ain't buying no expensive bird lol. I also want it to be easy to train and that I could somewhat train it to not poop over everything. Someone i know says their parakeets do that. what is your opinion? Should i try something new(and what) or should I get 2 more parakeets?

i have four call ducks... two males and two females... i have had them for about seven months and they havent laid any eggs... i know they usually breed in the spring but shouldnt they be having eggs at least everyother day? its pretty cold here in rhode island so im thinking it could just be because its so cold. what age are call ducks supposed to start laying eggs? in the spring should they breed with eachother? do i need to do anything (incubate them) once they lay the eggs or will the mothers sit on their eggs? how many do they usually have?
any information on call ducks would be great along with these questions. thanks
