Here is a short list of some fruits, veggies, and other foods to introduce gradually: broccoli, spinach, kale, chard, peas, string beans, corn, carrots, yams, sweet potatoes, squash, peppers, tomatos, cellery, hard-boiled or scrambled eggs (with no seasoning), apples, pears, bananas, grapes, mangos, papayas, cherries, apricots, kiwi, melons, pineapple, pasta (in small quantities), nuts (unsalted only), and peanuts (should be unsalted but not raw in the shells, since the shells may contain a fungus toxic to parrots).

Avoid feeding your parrot chocolate, apple seeds, avarcardo, onions, mushrooms, Tomato Leaves, anything with salt in, rhubarb, cabbage, lemons, to name a few, hope that helps

Like any parrot, a healthy diet is important for the African Grey Congo. In addition to a good pelleted diet, fresh fruits and vegetables are needed to give them good nutrition, though they cannot eat certain seeds such as avocado and fruit pits. Some good fruits and vegetables include broccoli, Brussels sprouts, green & black-eyed peas, banana, and cantaloupe. They should also be allowed nuts such as almonds, rice, pasta, unsweetened cereal and eggs.

have self assurance me the parrot can open the almonds if it needs to! We had a yellow fronted amazon and likewise a jardine.Parrots could be fussy and p.c.. and choose what they actually like from their `parrot mixture` foodstuff ,so you might purchase from any respected puppy foodstuff save.we commonly chanced on the bits they didn`t discover tasty adequate mendacity around the backside of their cages. attempt small products of fruit, apple and grape have been enjoyed with the aid of ours, and the unusual uncooked carrot, basically for type. As for the bathe area - do you have a sparkling plastic spray valeting bottle with the aid of any danger? you ought to purchase certainly one of those particularly value effectively out of your community superstore in case you don`t. Fill it with heat water and placed it on effective spray, provide the parrot some squirts and it will quickly open it`s wings extensive and permit you to `bathe` it,a lot greater much less confusing too! stable luck!

NEVER give a bird Avocado! It is poisonous to birds. They mostly eat all kinds of fruits. Don't spoil them on Sunflower seeds. Once they get used to eating lots of them, they won't eat anything else. So go easy on the Sunflowers. Also, don't feed lettuce to them as it will give them diarrhea. Good Luck!

All fruits are fresh vegetables. A "vegetable" is a plant, any part of which can be used for food.

In the superstore, fruits are usually chosen far too soon. Some are rocks, many are bitter. Some of the fruit and vegetables are generally right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.

I found another site for you.

I feed mine everything except avocado, oranges, and grapefruit. My female eats everything and my male is picky.
Never feed chocolate. Easy on the peanuts and cashews, they're very fattening and you don't want fatty liver disease.
I buy dried fruit from the bird shows in bulk. It has everything in it except what I mentioned above.
I could go on, but I think you'll find everything you need to know in the two sites we've provided.

stay away from Avocados, caffeine, chocolate, and alcohol, other then that they can eat anything, our parrots get a plate of everything we have for our meals including meats and other cooked foods.
