Hi, cockatiels lay on average about 6 eggs per clutch so there is a good chance that she has still got one to lay, they normally lay every other day so if by tomorrow she hasnt passed it i think u should seek advise from an avian vet, to be on safe side birds can become egg bound which means the egg gets stuck and faeces cannot be passed in most case this means death so you need to act on it, for a bird to become egg bound is a terrible way to die, make sure she has plenty of food and water tonight, cover her over also so she is at ease, put her in a quiet room, and check on her, if she does get worse please dont delay in contacting a vet!

Symptoms of an egg bound bird are :

sitting on the bottom of the cage floor

rocking back and forth, sitting on her tail feathers with her legs spread apart

tail wagging or bobbing,

abdominal distention,

straining as if trying to lay an egg,

labored breathing,

lack of droppings, and ruffled feathers.

In this case, she may not have finished laying her eggs. Cockatiels lay quite a few eggs at a time. She should not have been taken away from her nest. She should be taken back to the shop that sold her to you to finish laying her eggs. If she gets egg bound she will die. She will not lay in the cage you have her in. Please take her back so she can continue to lay all her eggs. Good Luck!
