I took out a couple of morning doves who refused to get out of the way. I did try to slow down and change lanes. They are a stupid breed of bird. I zigged and so did they. I wasn't going 70 mph, more like 30 and they hit the front of my car, they basically exploded. Feathers went flying into the air and got stuck in the grill. Sorry for the grusum details, but you asked.

If a bird got into my van at 70 m.p.h. and was lucky enough to survive I would pull over to the side of the road, open all the doors and windows and let it get out. Chances are I wouldn't be going anywhere near that speed though - cargo vans are lumbering beasts - mine's a Ford, not a Ferrari.

Hit a pigeon doing about 35 mph. The stupid thing just flew in front of me. It actually chipped the windscreen.

If it flew and was inside your van then it would fly around until it got out.
If it hit your van then it would be a big mess. SPLAT!

He'd be killed instantly if he hit it. If he flew in he'd just flap around until he got out again.

If it hit you head on then it would die and may even break your windsreen and come through but even if it didnt lets just say feathers would be flying and it would create a mess. but i think death would be instant.
