I have a male and female (yes I know the difference) the male tries to mount her but can't seem to get it right. I have a nesting box, and everything seems to be ok they groom each other and he feeds her when she is in the nest box. They are both over 3 years old. The female has never produced and egg should she be even though they aren't fertilized. Is it her or is it him.

Nothing lengthy, I have a bad head and chest cold, will socializing with my Conure make him sick? If so, what can I do to help him feel less abandoned? He is usually out of the cage 3-4 hours a day. He's pretty unhappy right now

I have a sun conure and he keeps sneezing and scratching at his face... I don't know if he is sick or if this is just because he is moulting. Also if he is sick I really don't have the money to take him to the vet right now is there anything I can do for him?

Our pet budgies have been mating an awful lot recently and the hen has laid 2 eggs on the bottom of the cage, which have both been eaten by both parents. There are no other birds in the cage.

She has taken to sitting in her large food container most of the day, and is fed by her mate. She does come out occasionally to feed, but spends most of her time in her food pot.

She looks as though she might be ready to lay again as she has a swollen bottom, but there are no eggs in the container.

She is also plucking the feathers from her bottom.

What is going on? They are 6 years and 3 years old and have lived together for 3 years with no incidents of mating or nesting.

Thank you

I walk everyday at a park, which has a pond. This pond has many ducks. Lately I have been watching them bop their heads up and down, and then wag their tails and whole body. Sometimes, many ducks do it at the same time. What does this mean?

I have the opportunity to buy from a breeder either a lovebird or a budgie to hand feed and hopefully form a strong bond. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which one I should buy? I have had budgies before, but never lovebirds so I'm not sure what do to.

Thanks!!!

I have in my possesion a medium-sized and rather bad tempered swan.
I require its presence at a drinks party in Dorset on Saturday, which is about 120 miles from my home.
What is the ideal method of carriage for said bird?
