The rooster, while it produces sperm from a testicle, does not possess a penis. It has, instead, a cloacal opening, like the hen.
To mate they simply rub cloacal vents together.. this is the same process for any mating birds..

You just keep track of where your own penis is around those chickens. The rooster will keep track of his own penis.

His penis is called a cloaca and is located and is the same has the vent to his butt. He doesn't really have a penis as we know it.
