I have considered it. But I have read that the wood has to be soaked for a while then allowed to dry. I am paranoid I guess that something will kill them so I haven't done it. Anyone do this? And if so could you tell me how you did it? And please tell if your parrot was harmed from it? Any advice is much appreciated.

I have a male Cardinal that keeps flying into my window. It must see its reflection and think it's defending its territory. I have tried closing the curtains, taping up a giant picture of an owl and scaring it away. Still, for the past couple of years, every day it smacks its head into the window over and over again. I don't want to kill it (I'm surprised it hasn't killed itself). Any ideas?

What do they mean by infertile and fertile eggs? I mean how can a bird lay egg if it's not fertilized. Don't 2 birds have to mete in oredr to lay an egg? Does this mean that a female will lay egg first and then the male would have to come and fertilize them? Should I separate the eggs once the female lays them for the male to fertilize them? I am really confused..help me out guys.

I recently recieved a mated pair of cockatiels, they had 6 eggs in the cluch one egg had a hole in it so I opened it and there was a fully formed chick in it but the chick was dead.

The second one hatched out sometime in the night and fell through the bottom grate, I was able to keep it alive for a few hours by keeping it in a warmed towel but it also died.

Has anyone ever taken care of a new hatchling and gotten it to live?

It seems to have scratched all the feathers off the back/neck area. Its really red and bleading. The bird is about 8 years old and has never had a problem before. It is always in its cage, when it goes outside it stays in the cage. What is this? The pet store said it was probably stress and to get it new toys and such. I say bull.....?

We have a cuttle bone in there for them, but she won't chew on it or any of the other things we have in the cage for them. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to have to take her to the vet to have it trimmed if it's not absolutely neccessary.

They're vomiting through their mouth and nose, and they are also spinning at the bottom of their cage.

I while back I took care of many Macaws, One being a blue Hycnith. I really thought it had a great personality. I know they are an expensive bird. What is a bird with great personality? And not sooo expensive.

A few months ago I came out of my friends mobile home in a beautiful park. There was a family of geese coming from under the home. I thought they were so cute so I made a quacky sound and the male immediately hopped ont he female. A few months later my friend tells me that the geese have multiplied. I feel like I am a God! should I do it again?
