Hooked-billed and Snail Kites both eat snails. They are birds of prey, similar to hawks. Both are found in the tropics. There is a population of Snail Kites in Florida and Hooked-billed Kites live in small numbers in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas.

Limpkins, another tropical bird that also lives in Florida also eat snails. They are a wading bird.
