I read that I can teach my cockatiel how to take a shower - but he HATES water. He really has a high amount of feather dust and would like to get him to bathe - any suggestions?

I juse got 2 pairs of cocaktiels.
One is lutino male and cinnamon female and the other pair is lutino pied male(half yellow/white and half grey) and a pearl female
What colours will i get if i breed the first pair?
what colours will i get if i breed the second pair?

I have a big cage which is divided into 2 parts(there is a mesh which goes right through the middle). If i put them first pair on one side and the second on the other, will it be ok if they can see each other while breeding?

I bought a new budgie from the pet shop today, it is a small baby. When we chosen it and removed from the cage it was in, it had a mate, i think. They we're both together, and looked at each other recently. My bird is very quiet and evasive. I know this may be because it is not tame, but could this possible ahve something to do with loosing it's mate? We are going back to the shop tomorrow to buy the mate as we think it will be better to have the two budgies so the one we have is not alone. What do you think?

Also, how does my budgie know where it's food and water is? I managed to put some seeds on my fingers and the bird had a little nibble at them, so i gathered he was hungry. But I dont think he knows where his food tray is as he hasn't been near it yet. Any ideas.

Thanks

My pair layed 4 eggs, and they all hatched. It's been 1 day since the last one hatched. But, since 3 days my cockatiels have droppings that are normal sized, but, they are yellow, and there's water with it too. The yellow poop and the water is not MIXED! They(yellow poop and water) are separate. I have been giving them some boiled rice to feed the babies (they eat it too) and I also give them seeds.Do you know why?

Also, after the babies hatched, my cockatiels are not sitting on them much during the day. They didn't abandon them because I can still see them feeding the babies.I don't know why they are not sitting on the babies, do you know why?

I know...all birds have different temperaments, and it depends on how they are raised, how much time you spend with them.

But in general, do lovebirds bite???? Do you know from experience?
