On the news,

A 47 year old man was killed from eating roast pigeon,

He bought the bird from a local breeder but the breeder used speacail vitamines to keep the birds healthy and it got into the mans blood or somthing like that and killed him.

The pigeon breeder was charged, I forget the rest but this is weird.

I give my pigeons vitamines but I never knew they could kill someone O.o .. I think I'll stop giving them that stuff .. or maybe the man was alergic to the vitamines I sure am gona read more about this.

Well serves him right for eating the poor bird :(

Well glad I love pigeons & don't eat them :) because you are what you eat ... like I hate pork because pigs eat there own **** *YUCK*

i have 2 budgies and they are kept in the living room where they can be around people ( i have a very quiet house) i talk to them, give them attention, they seem to like it but as soon as i open the cage they freak out! i got them when they were juveniles and had them for 3 years now. I tried the whole slowly putting your hand in, so they get used to it several times daily routine, as well as offer them treats- but they completely don't trust me. even if i leave the cage open all day they won't leave- they might climb to the top, but they don't want to fly really. they have bonded with eachother and sing happily all day, so i know they arent depressed. they also refuse to eat pellets and fresh fruits and veggies- anything that doesn't look like a seed gets angrily thrown away or they are terrified of it. is there any other way to gain their trust, and to get them to eat healthier? i tried only giving pellets- gradually switching them over- but they refused to eat, so i relente

Peachfaced? Masked? Fischer? Do you have experience with any lovebirds, and if so, what? I want a kind bird, not to be bitten.

I am looking after a number of Lovebirds whilst my friends are on holiday. The heating has not been left on in the house and I am a bit concerned as to whether the birds will be ok with this cold weather. Can any one advise please ?

In my county I can shoot woodpeckers. Now my question is can you eat them. Cause most small birds if you eat them it gives you a disease.

Hi, I have a Green Cheek conure I purchased in October, he was born in May so he's still a little young. Now the problem I have with him, is when I was visiting him at the bird store while he was on layaway, he was fine I could handle him, he was sweet, he never bit. Now I brought him home the end of October, he attached himself to my husband and bites me every time I try to take him out to play or when my husband hands him to me. He lets me snuggle with him (he likes to lay on your stomach on his back), but as sson as I actually go to handle him, he bites and goes back to my husband. Any tips on getting him to like me like he did at the bird store? Or is he going to be a one person bird?

I have found a little bird outside...I think she may have spent the night (at 28-30 degrees Fahrentheit) on my porch. When I found it in the morning she didn't make any atempt to fly or run fro me. She was cold and couldn't walk...I took her inside and try to warm her..she couldn't even stand (she'd fall on her back). She wasn't interested in water or bread crumbs...What should you do when you find a bird like this? What's First Aid for such a situation?
