There's no such thing as a mess free bird cage. LOL...that's like having a mess free house with kids living in it...there's just no possibility of that ever happening.

But...

You CAN get a skirt for birdcages that is fairly inexpensive. You can either sew your own, if you're into that kind of thing, or you can order one online. Just use the search words "Birdcage skirt" and you'll find what you're looking for on ebay.

The skirt catches **MOST** of the seed and stuff that they toss out of the cage. You'll still have a minor mess, but not what I like to call Rio messes. Rio is, I swear to you, the messiest bird alive. It's fun for him to sit in his cage and throw nut shells at me all the way across the room. LOL

Birds can easily destroy plastic so don't get a plastic cage. Get a metal one and make sure that the metal does not include zinc or lead, as these are poisons for birds.

What type of bird are you buying a cage for? At www.drsfostersmith.com you can get a big flight cage of a small bird for around $80. They also have cages for medium and large birds but they cost more.

There is no such thing especially if you have a live bird inside one. Birds are messy!
Since you are on the internet.......look it up! You should find them in Birdtalk magazine in the back.

Good luck!

o yea and don't get a cage w/ horisontal bars cuz the tail feathers will get caught in them and the will freak then the feathers will fall off.
