I just sent a question in about breeding my birds, but not sure if the question went in ,it just went off my screen?I'd like to know how to go about breeding them? They are in a quiet sunny room, and have breeding boxes, but i need to know what to do after the babies are born?

You can hand feed and let the parents feed them to! this way it will take some of the stress of of you. I did this with my birds and the babies where very friendly! They sell hand feeding formula at the pet stores!! Have someone show you how though because you do not want to inpack the crops! I would even have the daddy bird feed they while they where on my lap!! it was so cute!

I had the same thing happen yesterday, where did my response go? Oh my you are going to have your hands full, check out the following site for raising chicks after the parents, (being hand raised) don't know what to do. This site also gives links to others that are very helpful. Ya know what? I am hoping that my tiels don't mate. 1 is ten and the other one just came to my home and is probably about 4. Latter was abused and in 3 days there will be another abused one. My Holidays for me are actually going to be getting all my friends to get along and trust their new home.

you should get a book or check on national cockatiel society and do research on the breeding and brooding conditions for eggs. it's a lot more difficult than you would think; my cockatiels are at the end stage of brooding a clutch of originally 5 eggs, one hatched and died, and the other 4 i think may be dead in the shell chicks.. (sadly) but i am going to try again when it's spring and i'll have an easier time controlling the humidity. good luck i hope you have a successful batch!!!
