I found him in my back yard he was on a small tree I have. He didn't bite when I tried to get him and he has been with me ever since 2 years now. I don't know if he is male or female. He has a lttle bit of orange on top and is green all over with dark feathers under his wings. I love him or her because it's so friendly and when I pet it, it makes a perring noise like a cat. Does anyone have one like mine and can help me? TTThhhhaaaaannnnnks

I had a female budgie and a male budgie together for about 4 years. They won't mate! Is something wrong or were they meant to be like that?

My mum is giving my bird away today. She came home last night and told me that she had found a home for him. I have had him a good 8 years and have become more busy in my life. I am 19yrs old, and admit i dont have as much time for him as I use to. But is it not wrong that she goes out and finds a new home for him without discussing it with me first or should i be grateful someone can spend more time with him?? He will be gone when I get home from work.... ( p.s I also got 2 cats in the last 12mths that would luv to eat him up for supper so havent been able to get him out of his cage - its not out of neglect!)

I am thinking of getting a couple of Quaker Parakeets, and I was wondering how long do they live for and are they prone to any health problems?

I am thinking about getting a pet bird and currently it will probably be a Quaker Parakeet. Are these very noisy? I'd quite like to teach it to talk but do not want it being too loud!

Recently my one year old budgie has started to hold his head on one side. This has impaired his flying a great deal, to the point of crashing. He has also just started to walk around in circles. What is wrong with him?
