Our baby Greenwing Macaw's name is Katie. But, if she had turned out to be a boy, (and THANK GOD she isn't...) my husband was going to name her Lloyd. Yes, Lloyd. Don't do that! LOL
Let's see...
My birds are: Rio and Katie.
Other birds I know are:
Bubba
Simon
Ruby
Richie
Marshall
Toby
Morgan
If Katie was a boy, I wanted to name him VanGogh, Monet or something like that...something that was artfully beautiful.
Let's see, what else? We had also toyed around with naming Katie after another exotic location like Rio. Like Bermuda, Bahama, Sanibel, or something like that.
Hope that helps!
PS...why we chose Katie...I ended up having three boys after trying for a girl, um...three times. LOL We were bound and determined to have a Kaitlin. So, low and behold, we finally got a girl, just in the form of a bird. That's how we decided on Katie. I can't have anymore kids, so, since Katie's actually, well...a kid with feathers, she more than earned her right to that name.

look and see that kind of personality the bird has, or how you came to having him. For ex. my husband and i found a parakeet outside one windy day and we named him Sharkbait (finding nemo). Mainly because he wasn't protected, out in the open where larger birds or cats can get to him. He was basically bait so...thats how we got his name.
