Recently my one year old budgie has started to hold his head on one side. This has impaired his flying a great deal, to the point of crashing. He has also just started to walk around in circles. What is wrong with him?

It may be a parasitic infections such as toxoplasmosis which can induce such symptoms, such as head tilt, and circling.. Vitamin E and selenium deficiencies can be a chronic deficiency in adults, and can cause weakness and head tilt amongst other symptoms. One of my birds had a head tilt. The vet prescribed vitimin b and other,he was fine. I suggest you take your bird to a vet as soon as possible,to ease his suffering.Hope he makes a full recovery.

Maybe he is in need of some vitamines put in his water or he may have a problem that will cause him to die. I am sure this isnt the entire story sense they dont just start doing this for no reason You need to keep him somewhere where he isnt flying because he probly crashed into something that broke a blood vessel in his brain and made him act this way. Prepare yourself for his death and dont let your next budgie out of the cage unless it is safe for him to fly in the house.

some budgies do carry their head to the area in the experience that they are sleepy, yet when he's doing all of it the time , then he may be sick..attempt to get some tonic seed, blend it in at the same time with his prevalent seed, that ought to perk him up. If that fails then i'd get him appeared at with the help of a vet.... also verify he's not in a draft everywhere cuz which could make him sick and ought to kill him.... good success.....
