I live in a one bedroom apt.
My goose was okay until the cow tripped over the llama and fell on it.

man no way................we used to own geese but in a barn , we used to let them free no cages ........ they were a noisy lot . geese just keep gaggling (thats the sound they make-gaggle) . they have a very delicate temperament and any slight disturbance to start the "gaggle alarm" ...... so having them on a barn at night (open) is a very economical burglar alarm (they're loder than dogs) . geese poop a lot , they cant be potty trained , their ptty is around the size of a fried egg and youll have them all over the house in a matter of hours . geese also need regular swimming , and a large pool or pond .
the bottom line:geese as apartment pets , not a good combo.

Absolutely not. Unless you live in a barn, or have a pond tucked away in your apartment, keeping geese is a very bad idea for you. I work with waterfowl on a regular basis and adore them, but make no mistake-- they are _messy_ when kept in a confined space! No matter what kind of goose you choose, it would shed droppings, feather, dander, and food about like no tomorrow. Not only would they destroy your apartment, but the animals would be miserable without enough space and water to swim in. I recommend a much more apartment friendly pet, like a goldfish. ;)

Well, if you're in an apartment I can rule out a lot of those for you. Don't get a goat (they jump on everything and need lots and lots of space to exercise. Ducks and Geese are a no go for an apartment and only really make good pets when they're babies. They're very cute and will follow you everywhere. But as they get older the call of the Wild is just too strong. Small birds make good apartment pets. Parrots need lots of exercise though, but will exercise themselves by holding onto their perch and flapping their wings. Parrots tend to attach themselves to one person and basically fall in love with them. They usually are mean to everyone else and get quite jealous. Parrots tend to live a long time. Upwards of 60 years for macaws. Around 40 years for smaller parrots. My mom has a parrot that she's had for 35 years. He loves her very much and hates everyone else. A bearded dragon or any kind of small reptile would make a good pet for an apartment. You can keep it in a terrarium and still take it out to handle it every now and then. But they do take quite a bit of conditioning in order to get comfortable with being held. If you want a calm, holdable lizard, get a MALE leopard gecko (the females are spastic, the males are placid). Most reptiles live a very long time. My grandfather had a ball python that lived for 27 years. Hedgehogs and sugar gliders are hard to take care of. They need very specific diets and sugar gliders need to be a certain temperature. And if you want a pet that will last most of your life, neither of these will. 3 years probably for the sugar glider and 5 for the hedgehog (no one really knows how long they can live as it seems to be all over the place, with 5 being the average) Guinea pigs, hamsters, and rabbits don't live very long either. But they are easy pets if you keep them clean. My top choice would be a pigmy pot-bellied pig. You don't want to get the big kind as they can grow to be almost as large as food pigs. But they can live in an apartment as long as you can walk them daily. You will basically be able to treat them as a dog. They are very intelligent. More intelligent than dogs, in fact. And they make very loyal pets. I think they're cute and make cute noises. They'll live about as long as a dog, so 12 to 15 years. This won't be the rest of your life, of course, but it will be a good portion of it. Maybe I'm just biased because I really want one too. My second choice would be a ball python (I know it's not on your list) but they're very calm and like to "cuddle" to keep warm. And they don't grow more than 3 ft long. But feeding them mice might be hard to stomach.

No way!! Geese would make horrible pets especially in an apartment. Geese belong out doors where they can poop where they want!!

Geese would make horrible apartment pets. They're noisy, they poop all over and can't be house trained, they'll want to swim, they'll need to eat fresh grass, and they'll probably bite you after they decide the bathroom is their personal territory. To do worse, you'd have to get a cow.

having had geese, not only are they EXTREMELY LOUD, very messy; will make puddles and splash in it ... but I DOUBT IF YOUR LANDLORD would allow it! get some pigeons and put a coop on top of the apartment bldg...oh, wait, you're already in a big city, SO YOU ALREADY HAVE BIRDS FLYING OVERHEAD! ya don't need geese! (they do bite VERY HARD!) (start small, like a finch and you'll get the picture of bird feathers!!)

Only if you plan on cleaning up a big mess several times a day.

Dealing with complaining neighbors about the noise and eventually the smell.

And not getting your rent deposit back after your landlord finds out.

They can't be potty trained so they will walk around crapping everywhere. They can't live in a cage. They need to be able to fly around. They stink. They bite. They are to be looked at outside not in your apartment.
