My beautiful bird has gotten into the habit of biting me for no reason (and it really hurts!). I don't know how to get him to stop.
Also, does anyone know of a suitable bird that my lorikeet can live with?

It's happened many times before, but this time she is squirting blood everywhere. seems like i severed an artery, but i know that's not the case.
How do i clean her up once the blood has solidified on her feathers? perhaps running water over her while the blood is still wet might help?

I've been training my Nanday Conure to wave, give me things etc.. But how do you get them to land on your hand?? Ive tried making her fly and putting my hand above the perch but no matter how much I try and get her to land on my hand she just dodges it. Shes not scared of me or anything and she trusts me, she will step up really easily. I was wondering if any of you know how to train them to land on your hand and then maybe after I've acheived that maybe get her to fly to me. But I'll do it one step at a time.

Thanks!!

...baby birds do..it helps their parents take away the faeces without messing up the nesting area.....It sure would be handy for thoses unfortunate enough to have to clean up bird mess from cars and statues etc...?

I live in southeast Texas. It's really HOT here. My hens have stopped laying eggs. Is this normal? What could be wrong? I have not changed the feed, or nothing new to them. Yes they have a rooster in there. Advice please.

I live in an apartment in Sydney and, there is a balcony attached to my room. I've adopted a wild pigeon (not intentionally, it came by a few weeks ago and kept coming back everyday since then: arriving early in the morning and leaves at dawn). I'm happy to have it but the only problem I'm worried about is its pooh-pooh. I clean the balcony everyday but still, it smells birdy. As I said the balcony (now the birdcage) is right outside my living room, and I'm afraid I'll be breathing birdy air in my dreams. My question is if there is a way to thoroughly clean the pigeon's area so my health will not be affected while keeping the bird? Do I use some kinda disinfectant? Do I buy it from supermarkets? Is it toxic to humans?
