I found a Gray Cockatiel in my front yard that was about 2 b eaten by some cats. I saved it and dont know what to feed it. Every time i try to get it to drink some water i put in a bowl, it shrieks and tries to bite me. Any other tips will help alot (How to feed it, how to get it to stop biting my aunt, what food to give it)

I rent a house near a car wash. For a few years off and on I have seen the owner (my landloard) shoot pigeons to keep them off the roof. This horrifies me but, my hubby said not to say anything because we will get kicked out of our house. Now, the new car wash manager has given up shooting the pigeons and put a cage up there with food in it. I thought, "oh good. He's going to catch them and let them go somewhere else". Nooooo! As I quietly sat on my back porch watching the sunset last night, the manager climbs up on the roof to get a pigeon in the cage, looks at me and twists it's neck to death. First when he was grabbing the bird it SCREAMED horribly and then the sound of those crunching neck bones just "did me in". The man looked at me like I should think "how cool he was" and plunked it down in the trash can below. I could not take it anymore and yelled some pretty harsh words at him and told him never to speak or look at me again and he was a wierdo. How do I defend me?

It's the second budgie that I've killed in less than 2 months, am I an irresponsible pet owner? I was squeezing it so it wouldn't fly, but then someone called me on the phone, and I didn't release it, so it died in my hand without me knowing about it until the conversation was over. IT WAS JUST A BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember when she would play with the ball hanging from her cage.........8*(

My mother-in-law just gave me three birds she rescued. 1 male parakeet, 1 female parakeet and this other one, (I am assuming female ...) only makes me shake my head. My mother-in-law claims that this bird is a parakeet/lorikeet mix.
I have looked on the net and can't seem to find this type of coloring anywhere in ANY Lorikeet pictures.

Is that SERIOUSLY even possible?!

I have a small flock of chickens here in NW Wa. and they have suddenly become attractive prey for a hawk. There pen is partially wooded and partially open. I have a radio playing but that hasn't disuaded the hawk. Would a scarecrow, plastic owl help? What would you suggest? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

And now it is just kind of hangin around my backyard. I have a dog, and I dont want her to get any illness from the bird. I know it isnt a pigeon. I have called animal control where I live in Henderson (its by Las Vegas) and they dont have any answers and connot pick it up because it is not a domestic animal. Any ideas on who I can contact to pick up the bird?????? It is still alive, and I think its hurt, but I cannot approach it.

Any ideas would help.
