A bird with any visible signs of illness should always be checked thoroughly by a vet, even if it just turns out later that something the bird ate disagreed with it while it was going through the crop and the proventriculum. Birds are very prone to intestinal and respiratory infections. In fact, the two frequently accompany eachother, because as one system is attacked, the other weakens. A sick bird can become a dead bird within hours or even minutes.

Was your bird purposely bringing this goo up? I/E did it try to "feed you", by craning its neck and placing its mouth against you? If so, you probably also would have noticed that it was holding it's wings out from its sides, strangely, and that it made a whimpering sound much like a puppy's. It may have also sounded like it was panting. That kind of regurgitation is normal. It's a sign of affection from a bird for its "mate."

If you're not absolutely sure he was regurgitating out of love, the best thing you can probably do is consult with a vet. If it was regurgitating, in the future just ignore the behavior and walk away for a while. It won't continue doing something that he doesn't get attention for forever.

Sounds to me like it regurged. Yes its a sign of affection, if birds love you or someone they can be known to do this. But if your Conure is not eating, drinking, etc. or acting weirdly it mgiht be sick and time to go to the vet!

During breeding season the males will regurgitate to the female before they mate. He feeds her this way while she is sitting on eggs. If he only does it when you hold him, that's probably it. If he does it when you're not giving him attention in his cage, take him to the vet.

Sometimes they regurgitate as a sign of affection. Was there anythng that looked like it could have been food? (ground up, maybe.) If you are concerned though, call your vet. Better safe then sorry.

Some birds show affection for their mate by throwing up in each others mouth. If your bird is doing that and it isnt sick, then it is trying to love you by throwing up in your mouth like you are his mate.
