I had chickens as pets once. They would stop laying eggs when it got really hot where I lived, but that was in the Bay Area in California. They'll also stop laying if they feel stressed, and I think the excessive heat could be stressing them out. You could try getting them all together and lightly misting them with a spray nozzle on your hose. I used to do that. They didn't like getting wet but it cooled them down a lot.

Chickens go through a molt each year that lasts about 8 weeks. During this time they lose a lot of feathers and look sickly and they do not lay eggs.

Yes it is normal. Sometimes in the summer or winter they stop laying eggs. In extreme heat and cold they preserve themselves. And if they are old they will stop laying too. When the temp cools down the birds will start laying again.

chickens will stop laying when it either gets to hot or to cold or when their is weird weather
PS: i have about 30 chickens and one of them is a 4 year old silky banty (and she's the mother of around 15 of them) (note: some of them have past on or went to different homes) so we must be doing something right! LOL

they have laying cycles, as they get older they lay less eggs, most people replace a laying flock when they are about 2 years old!
