Bit of an odd question - if you are serious.
We put out bananas or other fruit and birds come for that.
When the cat is in the garden birds appear and scold him from a safe distance.
When the sun is about to come up I hear lots of them.
When have you seen them suddenly appear?! Then maybe we can answer your question!

I know what you mean! Every time I drive through a certain part of the road on my way home, a magpie flys by! Dont worry nothing happens so I'm convinced they are NOT bad luck!!
I read once that magpies carry the souls of the dead... funnily enough, there was a car accident there a year or two ago where a boy died.
