Could a Major Dove mate with a Eroupean Ring-Neck dove?

They realy seem to be cloe...
Just wodnering, the male realy is fihgting at me when I try to pick the female up, He's usally nesting on his little bell-ball toy at the bottom of his cage...

If they try hard enough. They cross breed parrots all the time, I don't see why not.
