We have a 8 month old Brittany Spaniel who never seems to run out of energy. Especially at night. None of us have gotten a decent night of sleep in a while. I can usually fall asleep anywhere, any time, but something about his incessant whining keeps me up.

Is there anything I can do, give him, or otherwise to put him to sleep?

I have a 5 gallon tank with a screen top. I don't want to put fish in it, but I want to have something. As for pets, I have two cats, a 10g tank with four fish, a betta, and a snow corn snake. Its been recommended I get an invertebrate.

What do you all think. I don't mind if its just one animal or two of the same kind. (if the animal needs companionship to stay healthy)

I would like an animal that does not smell, make a lot of noise and for it to be either a land animal or an animal that uses both land and water. No tarantulas, scorpions, or very small insects(like crickets) My grandmother would throw them out in fright.

Any suggestions?

I have 2 female and 2 male cats. The two females have matted fur, one of them very badly. They do not go outside, so they can't really get very dirty. They are all "fixed", but one of the males mounts the female cats. I know this is kind of gross...but if he is fixed can he ejaculate? and could that be what is causing their fur to get so matted? Thanks if you can help with this.

My paint stallion got a little bit of a runny eye a couple days ago not bad at all and i checked it out and kept an eye on it. Today he didn't open it very wide and i got it open and noticed a whitish cloudy area that seems to be off to the side of his eye. He can definately still see from it. I don't think i'll be able to get a vet out until at the earliest Tuesday - I live in cow country where all the vets are cow vets and will not leave their Christmas on account of a horse.
Could someone give me some ideas of what it may be?

I'm getting a beagle on Tuesday, she's is 14months old, she is 12lbs. Is that a normal weight for a beagle? Are there smaller breeds like miniature? I saw her picture she looked really healthy but I'm just asking because I've never heard of a 12lb beagle.

Now, when we try to take our pants off she grabs hold of the garment and humps away. I tell her that isn't very lady like but she won't listen. Seriously, I didn't know female dogs did this. Is this unusual?

The older one is a female and I've had her for about two years. I just got a male kitten, and they fight when ever they see each other. Well, maybe I said that wrong. The female picks on the male, and stalks him, hisses and growls when he comes near or eats out of her food bowl. How can I help them get along?

We are bringing her to the vet in the morning, but we would like an idea of what her symptoms could mean. It happened very suddenly late yesterday. She looks as if her hips or back legs are very stiff and painful. She is unable to stand up on her own and can only limp a short distance outside to go to the bathroom. There were no signs of discomfort or anything before yesterday. There is no history of hip displasia in her bloodline, although she is 8 years old and in the past had 2 litters of pups. She spent all day yesterday in the fenced in back yard with our 6 month old yellow lab and we maybe think they played too rough and she's just a little sore. Any ideas or suggestions on what could be going on or how to make her a little more comfortable until the morning would be appreciated. Thanks
