If he ran into the sofa and still walking around, then its very likely that he was not hurt real seriously - maybe just knocked about a bit like when you or I walk into a wall. My cat once ran full tilt into a closed screen door, took the screen way off the runners and I was trully worried that he could have hurt himself very bad. But he was OK... and taught him to look out for that darn screen next time.

Not biting is never an indication your cat is not in pain. As long as the cat is acting normally, eating, and drinking and there are no visible signs of injury, I wouldn't worry too much. My cats knock thier heads all the time when they run around my room. I just pick them up, check for blood, give them a kiss, and send them on their way.
I really wouldn't worry. Cats bounce back like thiers no tomorrow, especially kittens. If you start to notice the cat is acting differently or if the cat becomes shy or aggressive when you approach, there could be a problem. I would just keep an eye on your cat.

Just because it's not biting doesn't mean it is not hurt. Cats are stoic creatures. You can't always tell if something is wrong. Stop touching the cat and leave it alone, cats run into things all the time and only a few of these times are serious injuries involved. If the cat limps or stops eating, something may be wrong.

If you suspect injury you should play it safe and bring kitty to a vet. A vet can tell a lot just by careful feeling and touching, and if they suspect something they can take an X-ray or an ultrasound echo.
Cats are rather fragile critters, easily injured, so if you're not absolutely sure kitty isn't hurt you should have him checked out.
If you can't tell, then he's probably not hurt really bad, so you can probably wait until after the holiday and call your regular vet. But if you think there's really an injury, go to your local 24/7 emergency clinic.

The claw is a ingredient of the bone of the final toe joint. So confident, with the intention to declaw a cat they final toe joint should be amputated. Cats walk on their feet, so this alters their gate and that they are able to no longer stretch like they could desire to between those 2 issues, cats advance early arthritis. of direction that's painful - it is so painful that it is the operation that pharmaceutical companies use to purpose new discomfort drugs. The discomfort never quite is going away - and it quite is the reason 30% of cat advance a minimum of one behavioral situation placed up declaw. those themes incorporate biting, refusal to apply the muddle container (their mutilated paws are consistently too painful to dig interior the container - so as that they pee on your furnishings or rug as a substitute). different themes incorporate aggression, or melancholy, lethargy and hiding. I advise - what if somebody had the 1st joint of all your feet chopped off - for no reason? there's a reason that declawing is banned as animal cruelty in each and every civilized u . s . however the U. S. and Canada. So confident, the cat is placed to sleep whilst that's feet are the two chopped off with a knife or burned off with a laser. And confident, the cat is on severe discomfort medicine for a on an analogous time as. there's no reason to declaw different than your individual selfishness or laziness to dodge practise the cat to apply a scratching placed up. Get an incredible piece of cat furnishings for the cat to scratch, and trim claws weekly and the cat won't scratch inappropriately. in case you won't be able to try this, then disgrace on you - you may desire to no longer are turning out to be a kitten interior the 1st place.
