I think the small ones like garter, smooth green and red-bellied snakes are adorable.

I thought that when the dog was castrated he would lose sexual intertest, but he is as randy as ever, but not making them pregant thank goodness, but i wanted to stop the hyper active over active behaviour when a girl is in season, i have 2 boys so they fight like hell when they are in season and i was under the impression from the vet that he would lose all interest, its the opposite to be honest please any advice would be great, obv i know i can turn to the vets, but hoping for advice on here. thanks again in advance

Does anyone have an opinion on the best cat litter for a multiple cat household? I've tried them all and each has it's own pros and cons. Some clump good but are really dusty, or aren't dusty but stink or don't clump well etc... What is the absolute all around best stuff to use?

If they made cat jerkey (like beef jerkey) would you eat it? Of course we'd get all the usual flavors...terriyaki, peppered, ol' hickery ect.

I have 2 guinea-pigs which i adopted from an animal shelter. They were dumped together so im assuming they've been together since they were babies. We've had them for 5 months and theyve been good friends, but recently they've started fighting.
The more dominant and bigger one chases the smaller pig, spikes his hair up attacks him. They've been biting each other alot and have bleeding wounds. They both make these chattering noises with their teeth and you can see they dont get along.

what should i do? if i separate their cage it will b too small and maybe too cruel for them to live in. They are both castrated so i dont know why they are fighting.
Is there any way to make them friends again? please help me soon!

I have two cats, Squire(Full name is Squire Gingivere. Cute, huh?) And Patches. While Squire is an affectionate cat, and the elder one, Patches tends to like to be affectionate when she wants to. Not that that's a bad thing.

But I'll go to bed and she'll jump up and walk around for a moment, and curl up. In the morning, I'll start to wake up, and she'll walk over and start trying to scratch my face.

And I'll admit, it's funny sometimes because she'll stop for a moment then try to do it sneakily. But she won't take the hint that I don't like it. I had a scratch across my eye for a few days and it hurt like mad.

Is she trying to play with me or what? Is there any way to make her stop or at least not do it so often?

Thanks!

I work from 8:30am -7:30pm. Live in a small apartment.

Can I get a Chihuahua. Especially considering that I need a dog which does not make any or very little noise when left alone.

After a long walk our 7y old Jack Russell has developed a sore front leg which he is reluctant to put weight on. Gentle manipulation of the limb gives him no pain or concern but he seems of-colour and very quite. This is the first time he has had any problems and is normally very lively. However, we have had visitors over the last week who have played with him relentlesly throwing a ball up and down the stairs - could this be the problem

My Aunt has a fourteen/fiffteen year old Cockatoo, I think it's a sulfer-crested. Anyway, sometimes, I'll walk past her cage, or my father will and she will lunge at us for no reason, and we've all been attacked on more than one occasion.
Also, she'll scream, so it can be heard blocks away, and refuse to stop.

Is there anything I can do?

I am adopting a 2 year old shepard husky mix, who is an extremely sweet dog, she just loves having her belly rubbed! I currently have two 1 year-old cats. When tested at the shelter she showed no interest (negative or posative) in cats. Both cats were kittens when I adopted them, so they have had no expirence with any dogs, any advice on intoducing them to the newest member of the family or any advice in general about being a new dog owner?

I am adopting a dog from a shelter who is being treated for heartworms. He had the first treatment and then had a very bad recation to it, so they had to wait for him to get stronger before he could have the last treatment. He should be ready by next week, but in the meantime they said I could take him home. I have 2 cats and plan to intoduce the animals in short supervised meetings very gradually, but can the dog pass the heartworms to the cats? I know typically heartworms are transmitted through mesquitos, but I am not sure if they can be passed any other way.

My new neighbour is determined to blame my dog for messing outside her house on the street, she has no proof it is him and we have many dog walkers in the area so this has been an ongoing problem for may years. She is not willing to accept that it may be one of me many hundreds of other dogs in the area on route to the park, she just has it in for my poor old dog who is not the guilty party. If he did do it i woud clean up. What can be done to resolve this probem as she is making ife very unpleasant for me and my family.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong. Since putting fishes inside (a total of 4 big gold fishes + 2 scavengers) I am only giving food twice daily in the morning and evening.

Pump is working well, lights are working well. Cleaning tank is not a problem but the tank is quite big (approx. 500 Ltr) hence it is quite a work which I don't want to do unless I know what is the problem.

Can anybody suggest how can I get this fixed?
