I have the most fantastic horse on the world, she has not been ridden in 12 months as she has mild arthritus in her near back leg. In her prime she was a great eventer, shes the bravest horse over any jump, has lovely floaty paces and was jumping 1m60 for fun. I know I am going to have trouble finding a replacement for her when her time is up (sniff sniff) so was wondering if I had left it to late to breed from her. She's 24 going on 25. A thoughbred and has bred a foal years and years ago with her previous owner. Apart from her arthritus she is in good health . Any answers from experienced horsey people would be much appreciated

Not sure why she is doing this. She bites them all the time. She doesn't hurt them but she is defintily being mean. The pups are about 5 and half weeks old. Is it that she is done with them. She has been done feeding them for a couple of days now. She is so mean that she goes over there and eats there food. not sure what to do. Is it time to let them go?

My husband recently started raising meat rabbits and are having trouble with some dying. They don't exhibit any symptoms before we find them dead. All are a healthy weight, eyes and ears are clear, no diarrhea, respiratory or neurological symptoms. We'll just find them dead in their cages. All are fed a commercial rabbit food and have access to fresh water at all times. One rabbit is housed per cage, and cages are cleaned at least twice weekly. They are housed in a shed with adequate airflow and don't get over-warmed either. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We've had pet rabbits for years without problems, and this is frustrating!

A mouse just had babies in my room yesterday (12-26-06). I found 2 of the babies, but there may be more of them. My ferrets are only allowed to play in my room (according to my mom). What do I do? Mice babies don't open their eyes for 10 days and I don't want my ferrets to come across them and eat them or something. These mice could be diseased! Should I risk letting them out? My one ferret has adrenal disease. What do I do!?!

My cat has asthma and is on prednisone. Hes been on it for awhile now and has had no problems up until a few days ago. He keeps having little attacks once in awhile. Is there anything I can do for him while hes having an attack to help it stop?

ok so i am drawing up a plan to re-decorate my aquarium after i re-decorate my in late january early febuary. i have a few questions(answer most)
1.}will plants like Riccia Fluitans(crystalwort) grow over other ground cover type plants like Glossostigma elatinoides?(or vice versa)
2.}can anyone tell me more about CO2? & things that will add it to my aquarium[preferably store bought]
3.}has anyone tried a trick to make a "waterfall" in your aquarium using filter floss and sand? also any other "waterfall" making techniques!
4.}will glossostigma or cyrstalwort cover an entire aquarium wildly like java moss? or will stay within the perimeters and not grow over all the rocks?
5.}has anyone heard of letting java moss grow on a peice of cork floating youre aquarium? if yes could it end up getting really big and crowding the tank?(im kinda afraid of moss taking over my aquarium)
6.}i have some plants picked out that i dont think ill find @ petsmart or petco, any places in theDCarea?

my 9 month old dog was stolen a day before christmas. we love that dog(Golden retriever) so much that we cuddle her every now and then. We treat her like the youngest in the family. And she was my mother's companion in our house. Ever since she was gone, we were always sad, especially my mother. Our other dog, which is our GR's playmate lost appetite and was never as active as before. Everybody in this house generally got so depressed. we grieve so much that we were not able to celebrate christmas season much. Right now, my brother and some other friends are trying to trace where our dog was brought and sold. We recieved an info that our dog was sold to somebody at a very low price. we are almost there with our investigation. if that thief would be caught, what should i do with him?

Ok, first of all don't think that I support inbreeding or that I'm going to do it. I have a question about it though.
My uncle has a male pitbull about 8 months old and just recently got a female who's about a month or two. They have same mother, different father and he wants to breed them and said he'll give me one for free, at first I thought, "oh, cool free pitbull", but then after getting home and thinking about it I realized it that that would be inbreeding between them pretty much, is this really bad for the pups? Should I advise him against doing this?

I have a 2 year old male cat that won't stop marking in my house. we had him fixed when he was about a year old. we also have 2 other cats in the house. 1 male 1 female they are about 8 years old. I am hoping to find solution that does not involve getting rid of him as he is a good cat.

This dog follows me everywhere.
I get up to go to the WC and he is right there. I go to answer the telephone and he is 30 cm away. I have renamed him Shadow.
I sit to have a vegemite sandwich and there he is at my feet.
i have told him to get a life and play with the other dogs but he refuses.
Sometimes I put him outside as it is hard to get housework done as he is in the way. He just wimpers.

The dog is fine, he is bouncing around, playful, friendly, and only 5 months old and yet after coming inside he began to throw up. I know it sounds crazy but there is this awful flu virus running rampant thru our city and I was just curious. No he couldn't have eaten anything outside either, he is chained in an controlled area.

She's half-TB, half-Appaloosa, 16.3 hh, 15 years old. I like creative, but fitting names - like Comma for a herding dog or something (:

I first want to thank all of you who answered my question of the sleeping puppy. I need to get him his shots. when we got him at 9 week old we did not know that the original owners should have given him shots but they said that they would give us the list of shot he needs to take. and they never gave it. i want to know what shots he should take apart from the mandatory rabies shot. i called the vet and she named a number of shots. but i want to know which are the ones he must take. Thank you for your imput.
