Ok, first of all don't think that I support inbreeding or that I'm going to do it. I have a question about it though.
My uncle has a male pitbull about 8 months old and just recently got a female who's about a month or two. They have same mother, different father and he wants to breed them and said he'll give me one for free, at first I thought, "oh, cool free pitbull", but then after getting home and thinking about it I realized it that that would be inbreeding between them pretty much, is this really bad for the pups? Should I advise him against doing this?

Yes, it is a bad idea. I had a collie many years ago that was the result of inbreeding. She was a great dog, but had numerous health problems. Your uncle will do what he wants to do, but tell him of the potential health problems. The DNA of the dogs is "doubled up"- both good and bad. So, if you have a dog with skin problems, then the resulting offspring will have an almost 100% chance of having the same problem. Only experienced, longtime ,reputable breeders should try this. And even then, line-breeding, not inbreeding, is what they will usually do. Only show-quality dogs should be line-bred.

Inbreeding can cause problems with the puppies. You should never inbreed any animal. The puppies will come out with deformed body parts sometime. If it is a papered dog that is not good. When people come to buy puppies they want to see papers with the generations. The only way you can breed two dogs is if they are not related at all or the furthest generation relation is like grandparents or great grandparents. I have two pure bred bull terriers and have learned about proper breeding.

Inbreeding is under no circumstances a superb problem! it truly is the way you land up with genetic complications and behavioral themes (though of route it truly is not the basically rationalization for those complications). Why do you imagine there are regulations in maximum states hostile to people marrying close relatives contributors?

A halfsibling breeding should not be done by someone that does not know the bloodlines of the dogs well. Like what do the dogs in the pedigree's produce, especially the mother's pedigree. I would advise him against it. This is sometimes done, but only when a breeder researches and knows the line well. He could get a terrible litter or he could get a wonderful litter. I would tell him not to do it.

My ex boyfriends dog was a Shetland sheep dog, (a mini lassie) and the vet said she was too closely inbred. By the time she was 4 she was having seizures 4 to 5 times a month. Its scary the first time you see her seize. I would not recommend inbreeding the dogs.

inbreeding can only harm the dog. they end up with mental and physical problems that are seriously bad. most likely they could die at a young age, or have to be put to sleep because of aggressive behavior. Please advise him that this is a bad idea.

Yes, tell him to get them spayed and neutered. Dogs have genetic diseases that they need to be tested for. Inbreeding pertetuates this.
