Would it be okay to keep two pet rats in a plastic rubbermaid container that measures 36Lx16Wx13H ? i know that the container is large enough, but is it chewproof? i would provide good ventilation. my only question is, is a rubbermaid container escape-proof?

i have no cats or dogs or any other potentially dangerous pet.

I WILL PROVIDE ADEQUATE VENTILATION

At Thanksgiving our dog( chihuahua) had her first litter of puppies and killed all four of them while we were gone to work.. I was told sometimes they do not know how to care for them. Is this true?

took her into the vet and they say its a tumor, not sure if cancerous or malignent. They can run tests but cannot perform thr surgery. Is there a possibility of it being some kind of irritation from something she ate that may have got stuck or am I just reaching? I can't afford the estimated cost the vet gave us to go through what may be a a slim chance at a successful operation. Is there any type of help at uc davis or anywhere else in northern California that coul help out?

I recently adopted two kittens - 3 months old and brother and sister.

They've been in the house for less than a wee. But already, We've observed some form of aggresive behaviour. Sometimes they give each other little punches.

It's not like they brawl and wrestle. It;s a little, almost like a 'pat' and then the kittens run off to play.

But what also aroused my suspicion is that the brohehr, who was supposed to be playful and fun - became the shy one. The sister, who was supposed to be shy, grew to be much more independent.

Also, when they are eating. The sister doesn't let the brother eat the wet food - 'Panda' (the brother) simply eats the dry food. We put out two plates and still Panda didn't eat as much as his sister.

We normally feed 1/3 of the can of wet food to both kittens everyday

Are the two kittens getting along well with each other?
Is Panda not being fed well enough?
How do I stimulate sharing of the food

This is an 8 week old puppy. She is not even 1 lb. yet. My daughter stepped on her and she had a huge hematoma that went away slowly throughout the day. She will eat from a dropper or bottle, and she has been having bowel movements and trying to sit up. Seems like something is wrong with her neck but she tried to hold her head up sometimes. Her ears and gums started turning bluish around mid-day. Sometimes she is flopping around and sometimes she just lays there. It is not getting worse, but not better either. Please help!

This a re-post with more details.

My two cats RECENTLY STOPPED covering up their excrement when they use the litter. I would really like help with this since it stinks constantly and it's embarrassing when we have company.

Recently a stray has been coming to the window and yowling/hissing at my cats. They get very upset when this happens. I'm wondering if they think their territory is being threatened, thus letting the scent be "known".

Facts are as follows:
1. We have one box for each cat.
2. We clean both boxes once a day MINIMUM.
3. The litter works extremely well. But it has to cover the feces to neutralize the scent.
4. We changed our litter brand 3 months ago but the liners and the boxes are still the same.
5. The cats started this problem two weeks ago.

Thanks

Timber is a mix of syberian huskey, keese hound, and elk hound. She is very fluffy with long hair and also has down fur underneath. She is walking slowly, wants to be inside at night where she use to crave the cold, and that spark in her eye has faded. She has been to the vet awhile ago and things were fine other than she has arthritis I think. I just want to know what you do to help an older dog. Do you give them something for arthritis, if so does it have to be a doggy pill or can dogs take aspirin. Should she be sleeping on a mat during this winter? She was a total outside dog in every way but seems to want to be inside more now. She is also always licking her front left paw. When you touch it it doesn't seem to hurt her and she keeps licking the carpet.
