Timber is a mix of syberian huskey, keese hound, and elk hound. She is very fluffy with long hair and also has down fur underneath. She is walking slowly, wants to be inside at night where she use to crave the cold, and that spark in her eye has faded. She has been to the vet awhile ago and things were fine other than she has arthritis I think. I just want to know what you do to help an older dog. Do you give them something for arthritis, if so does it have to be a doggy pill or can dogs take aspirin. Should she be sleeping on a mat during this winter? She was a total outside dog in every way but seems to want to be inside more now. She is also always licking her front left paw. When you touch it it doesn't seem to hurt her and she keeps licking the carpet.
