Hi,

Nothing is ever guaranteed with any bird so you will have to go back to basics and start from the begining.

Try sitting next to the cage and just "talk" to them, keep your voice low, then start offering bits of their favourite food by hand, they may just "snatch" it off you and back off, or just look at you, keep trying thou untill they learn to take it from you without backing off or panicking/hesitating,

It may take a while, remember not to move your hand to quick towards them as this could also make them panic,

Also it is always best to sit a touch higher than what they are while trying to do this as other wise they see themselfs as the more dominant one,

Gradually introduce a finger trying to stroke their head or stomach, you may get pecked a few times even if it hurts dont show it as it will make them do it more to get you to stop. also if it does bite dont stop (unless it draws blood), persistance pays......

Also keep in mind never grab your bird, this will make them panic, people say its fine too grab them or to put a towel over them, this is the totally wrong thing to do, they may have had this done in past in which case they will hate you even more for it, and its not a good way to build up trust between you and them either.

Goodluck

Time and patience. Some keets catch on very quickly, some take more time. One of mine was finger trained since we brought him home. The other one I've had since September and I'm still working with him. Here's some tips, they're beginning to work with me and Carmine. Until training is over, have his wings clipped. Once he's trained you can choose whether you want him to have full flight. With their wings clipped, it keeps them from flying away and possibly injuring themselves and not letting you help them. Always talk in a soft, calm voice when around them. For a few minutes, open the cage door and talk in a soft voice. Keep talking and slowly put your hand in the cage. If they back away, move your hand to the other side of the cage so they get used to it being in there. Each day, slowly make it closer to him. In the past few months, Carmine now lets me touch his stomach, but when I touch his feet, he flies away. It also helps to have the other keets in another room and work one on one with him. Once he starts letting you get closer, reward him with a treat. Carrot shavings and millet spray work well. Good luck! It takes a little time, but they'll eventually get it!

Parakeets aren't exactly intelligent enough animals to gain affection for an owner. I have a parakeet and I trained him to stand on my finger by using a pencil first (to avoid bites) and lightly pushing it into the top of the his legs to force him to get on the pencil. Then, I introduced my finger and he got on it because he had been trained to do so. Then, I started taking him out of the cage. Those birds are never going to love you but they can be trained to do what you want.

Just slowly approach your bird each day with the finger trainging method. They will fly and scream about but let them get accustomed to you. If you have other birds seclude them from each other. Birds in a flock dont want to learn and dont give any attention to their owner. So just give your bird time also if you prefer you can clip there wing.
I had one of my birds for over 2 months and never trained her but one day I admit I did clip her wing. But then when she couldn't fly she put more trust on me. When she feel on the floor and I put my finger out she ran to me. So the cliping method do work. But most of all be patient.

i had some parakeets and all you really have to do to gain their trust is to talk to them and dont scare the aproach the slowly and calmly and after talking to them for a few weeks they should be more comfortable with you also these birds can learn how to talk and if you say the same word or phrase over and over again you moght be able to teach them how to talk i tought mine how to but some parakeets are not open to humans and dont want anything to do with you

Sometimes if you tease them with a little treat food they will come out and get the treat and step onto your hand. My ecletus parrot will ALWAYS come out. lol. but sometimes my quaker parrot likes to sit in his cage with the door open so you just have to talk nicely and calm with them and they may come out to see you. If they won't come out yet, just let them sit in their cage with the door open and sit next to them in a chair. They may venture out to the top of the cage and eventually get used to coming out and onto your hand. Hope this helps!

If you have more than one bird they will bond with each other, not you. With lots of patience you may get some simple interactions, but they will always prefer the company of each other.
