You cannot ship live animals via postal mail (if you go to the post office and read the "what you cannot ship list" it's listed there). The only way to ship a dog is via airplane and that can range anywhere from $100-$200 depending on the airlines.
Your pet must be @ least 8 weeks old before they can be shipped. You need to have a health certificate from a vet
Health Certificate
A health certificate is required when shipping your pet as air cargo. While Delta does not require a health certificate for carried-on or checked pets, upon arrival, the certificate may be required by the state. For clarification, please call your veterinarian or see the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Veterinary Services.
The certificate must be issued by a licensed veterinarian within 10 days of transport. The certificate must contain:
The shipper's name and address.
Any tag numbers or tattoos assigned to the animal.
The age of the animal being shipped (USDA regulations require animals be at least 8 weeks old and fully weaned before traveling).
A statement that the animal is in good health.
A list of administered inoculations, when applicable.
The signature of the veterinarian.
The date of the certificate.
If the shipper knows that the pet is pregnant, it must be noted on the health certificate.
Acclimation Certificate
If your pet is traveling during winter months and is accustomed to low temperatures, you may be able to facilitate the journey by obtaining two copies of an acclimation certificate from your veterinarian. USDA regulations require that this certificate be issued no more than ten days before departure. The acclimation certificate must contain:
Shipper's name and address
Any tag numbers or tattoos assigned to the animal
A statement that the animal is acclimated to temperatures lower than 45 degrees F
Lowest temperature to which the animal may be exposed to, but not lower than 20 degrees F
Signature of the veterinarian
Date of the certificate
Live Animal Checklist/Confirmation of Feeding
When you check in your pet, you will be asked to complete a live animal checklist. When you sign this checklist, you are confirming that your pet has been offered food and water within four hours of check-in. On the checklist you must also give feeding and watering instructions for a 24-hour period. If in-transit feeding is necessary, you must provide food.
Tranquilizers
The use of pet tranquilizers at high altitudes is unpredictable. If you plan to sedate your pet, you must have written consent from the pet's veterinarian. This information must be attached to the kennel. Please keep in mind that Delta agents cannot administer medication of any kind.
Check the websites below to recieve recieve more detailed inforamtion. Each early varies on cost, but rules and regulartions are the same they are regulated by the Federal Government.
Here is some information from American Airlines:

Some more information provided by Delta Airlines:

and finally information provided by United Airlines:

There is actually no cheaper way to do this if you want to fly a dog to you. Only way it might be low is if you compare airlines.

the breeder will usually be familiar with shipping puppies, but there are several stipulations on shipping a puppy, it can't be too hot (Texas) or too cold (michigan) and current health certificates must be provided. however, shipping a puppy by plane is the quickest way to get your puppy. good luck!

Friendly Hello,
We ship puppies all over the US. Your breeder should be able to hook you up easy enough. It would cost around $300.00. This would include a flight approved safety crate, health certificate and air fare. I would recommend Delta Pets First.

You can have a dog shipped by air freight. It just needs to be in a cage and some carriers will ship live animals.

the breeder will know how to ship usually its by plane...
or you can go and get the pup yourself - this is best if you havent seen the pup already so you can inspect the facility and make sure its a decent place worth supporting - NEVER buy from a scummy looking place - you are only rewarding them for being scummy and are helping them to continue to breed in a poor condition place

you need to not purchase from a save!!! i'm unable to pressure that sufficient. "shop" pups come from decrease back backyard breeders and/or domestic dog turbines. Please do not help that!!! both bypass to a safeguard, humane society or breed rescue. keep a existence, don't be an element of the precedence.
